It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the sudden passing of Russ Poage, the Executive Director of the Pacific Northwest Qualifier and a pillar of the Spokane volleyball community for more than 40 years.
Russ dedicated a huge part of his life to growing the sport of volleyball and creating opportunities for countless athletes, coaches, officials and families throughout our region and beyond. He was a founder of the first volleyball club in our area, Spokane Juniors, in the 1980’s. He took over the helm of the PNQ in the 1990’s and grew it to what it is today. Our community will benefit from his legacy for years to come.
The volleyball community has lost a remarkable leader and friend. Our deepest condolences go out to Russ' family and friends.
