Summer starts tomorrow! ☀️💦

The Cheney Aquatic Center opens at 11:00 AM for its first full summer season, and we're celebrating with FREE admission on Opening Day thanks to our waterslide sponsors, Holliday Heating & Cooling and Moser Inc.

Whether you're floating the lazy river, racing down the slides, or making new summer memories with family and friends, we can't wait to welcome you back.

Thank you to GESA Credit Union for partnering with us and Cheney Public Schools for kids reading day! Elementary kids from Betz and Salnave were challenged to read a certain amount of hours starting all the way back in March. Any kid that accomplished the goal was rewarded with a free day at the Cheney Aquatic Center this past weekend 🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️

Full speed ahead! Our youth track kids have been enjoying the season so far. Shout out to our head coach Mayor Elsa Martin and the rest of the volunteer coaches for their time to create such a fun environment!

Did you miss out on spring sports this year? Mark your calendars for July 6th for our fall sports registration opening! We will have flag football, soccer, and volleyball.

Huge congratulations to Cheney Parks & Recreation’s ABC Preschool graduates this week!

We loved celebrating all of their hard work, big smiles, and amazing accomplishments this year. And of course, there’s no better way to celebrate graduation day than heading straight to the playground afterward for some well-earned fun!

We are so proud of these little learners and can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for them!

Help us make a splash for local kids this summer! ☀️🩱🩳

We’re partnering with Spokane Parks Foundation supporting a swimsuit drive benefiting children and families in the Cheney community, and we need your help.

A brand-new swimsuit may seem like a small thing, but for many children it means the chance to confidently participate in swim lessons, summer activities, pool days with friends, and safe water experiences they might otherwise miss out on. For families facing financial hardship, purchasing swimsuits often falls behind more immediate necessities. Your donation can help a child feel included, confident, and ready to enjoy summer alongside their peers.

Please consider donating new swimsuits for children of all ages and sizes. Donations can be dropped off at the Cheney Conoco station.
