The Corriente Cattle Animal Registry Program for North America. The NACA provides a breed registry service for Corriente cattle to members. The NACA is the place to find premiere roping stock. It is the mission of the North American Corriente Association (NACA) to be a dynamic, member-driven breed registry, providing tailored services and developing innovative programs, dedicated to the promotion

and preservation of the Corriente cattle. Corrientes are raised primarily as sports cattle while preserving the natural attributes of these durable animals such as high fertility, early maturity, trouble-free calving, and foraging efficiency, as well as disease and parasite resistance. This unique breed differs greatly in conformation, behavior, and hardiness from cattle raised only for meat. Most of the production problems experienced by today’s cattlemen are a result of increasing size and weight in order to fit the current commodity market. Corrientes remain untainted by the manipulative animal husbandry which has affected and weakened many domestic animals.

Entries are open NOW through July 31st. Judging is in August and winners announced shortly after.

We have an exciting update to share! The Texas Corriente Cattle Association will now be hosting and sponsoring our NACA Virtual Show instead of the live event in Montague, Texas. This means you can still showcase your cattle, compete, and connect with the community—all from the comfort of your ranch!

The virtual show will feature multiple classes, all with buckles and awards.... with some added money for each category. And yes, we are still hosting team roping events on Saturday, just as planned.

Stay tuned for detailed entry information and class schedules in the coming days. We’re excited to bring this opportunity to you and look forward to your participation!

We’re currently accepting submissions for the upcoming NACA Calendar — and we’d love to feature your cattle and ranch.

Thinking about using AI in your herd? 🐂
Artificial insemination can be a powerful tool for improving genetics — but success comes down to a few key things:

✔ Understanding the estrous cycle
✔ Proper timing
✔ Knowing how the reproductive system works

Corriente cattle can be a little different — they tend to be more sensitive in their reproductive cycles, and in some cases require a more natural approach to achieve the best results.
