Jimmy Shane is back in the GPs, driving GP50, racing against teammate (and Valleyfield winner) Andrew Tate in GP71. Meanwhile Miss Madison driver Brandon Kennedy is back after a successful west coast swing in his GP35. It will be a great weekend in Quebec!

Congratulations to Marissa Bartels and the Bartels Family Racing A-1. They placed second at Western Regionals in Pateros, WA this weekend. Like the rest of the season, it wasn’t easy street. But it’s a hard-earned second place and we’re proud of them all! Racing action in Pateros continues today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these devastating wildfires.

This is one of those moments when communities come together. Let's look out for our neighbors, support those who have been impacted, and do what we can to help each other through this.

Stay safe, Spokane. We'll get through this together.

While the BWR media team was in Australia this spring (or autumn down there) for the EC Griffith’s Cup, one of my favorite photos that I took was of Tate Ramsey in the legendary blown alcohol displacement (B.A.D.) boat Lay It On, getting up on the transom as he accelerated out of the turn. It really underscored for me that a lot of what I was going to be seeing there in Yarrawonga was going to be a bit different from what I was used to here in the US.

Unfortunately Tate was seriously injured in a racing incident over the weekend. While there is a lot of uncertainty about his long-term condition, the team reports that there are some good early signs, and that he’s in good hands down there. The boat racing community is really good about rallying around our own, and I’m here to extend that around the world. So please help me in wishing Tate a full and speedy recovery, and please keep him, his family, and friends at Ramsey Racing in your thoughts.

On the heels of two very successful weeks, last night we headed back to the shop and put the boats away while we had a nice casual get together. It was good to celebrate and relax some, and we were happy to have the folks from Miss Madison stop by again to pick up some parts and say hello before they hit the road back to Indiana.

This morning, though, it’s just 46 days before San Diego. It’s going to be an interesting race weekend down there. But like any other post-race week, Mike and Taylor have a nice list of projects put together for the teams to work on. Both teams are focused on the National Championship and the Bayfair Bill Muncey Cup. Anyone else excited? Because we are!
