Our Las Gatitas are hard at work this summer. Under our new Director, Suzy Simpson, our team performed well at their summer leadership camp. They attended camp with the company Danceline, along with 23 other drill teams from across Texas. The girls represented themselves very well and we are so proud of them. They endured four rounds of evaluations in the areas of character, leadership (planning, teaching, interview) and dance skills and here are the results:
Dance Technique:
Division 1 Superior rating - Annabelle Forner, Amaris Reyna, and Adey Wiseman
Elite Performance Group (invited to perform at Disney in 2026) - Annabelle Forner, Amaris Reyna, and Adey Wiseman
Showmanship Award - Annabelle Forner, Amaris Reyna, and Adey Wiseman
Leadership:
Division 1 Superior Rating - all 5 officers: Annabelle Forner, Amaris Reyna, Adey Wiseman, Avery Talkington, Charlotte Cawlfield
Character:
KIRRF Award (acronym for Kindness, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility and Faith) - Avery Talkington
Kindness Award (only awarded to 1 team - us!) - all 5 officers: Annabelle Forner, Amaris Reyna, Adey Wiseman, Avery Talkington, Charlotte Cawlfield.
