Boundaries aren’t selfish. They’re part of healing. 🤍
For a long time, I thought being a good woman meant being available to everyone.
Saying yes when I wanted to say no.
Putting everyone else’s needs before my own.
Keeping the peace—even when it was costing me mine.
But healing has taught me something different.
Boundaries aren’t about shutting people out. They’re about learning to honor what God has entrusted to you—including YOU.
Your time matters.
Your energy matters.
Your peace matters.
And saying no doesn’t make you selfish.
It doesn’t mean you don’t love someone.
It doesn’t mean you’ve stopped caring.
Sometimes, saying no is actually an act of obedience.
Because when you’re constantly pouring yourself out for everyone else, you can miss what God is asking you to pour into.
I’m learning that I don’t have to earn love by exhausting myself.
I can love people and have boundaries.
I can forgive and create distance.
I can care and say no.
I can be a woman of faith and take care of the woman God created me to be.
That isn’t selfish.
That’s stewardship.
And maybe your next step in healing isn’t doing more for everyone else.
Maybe it’s finally giving yourself permission to protect your peace.
You are not broken for needing boundaries.
You are becoming. 🤍
