🎄🏋️ REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 🎅 6th Annual 2026 MST Christmas Classic Powerlifting Meet and Toy Drive 🎅! 🏋️🎄

The 2026 MST Christmas Classic Push/Pull Powerlifting Meet & Toy Drive is officially open for registration!

This year marks our 6th annual Christmas Classic, and this meet has grown into something much bigger than just a day of lifting.

Over the past five years, our lifters, families, spectators, and supporters have helped donate more than 3,500 toys to local children during the holiday season.

That is something we are incredibly proud of.

This meet is about:

🏋️ Big benches and deadlifts
🎄 Giving back to the community
🎁 Helping local families during Christmas
🤝 Bringing lifters together for a great cause

⚪⚪⚪ MEET YOUR USPC JUDGE: DEEPEN PATEL ⚪⚪⚪

Get to know the people behind the lights! Today we’re introducing USPC Judge Deepen Patel from Carlinville, Illinois!

🏋️ How long have you been involved in powerlifting?
This is my 4th year. Training alongside powerlifters and seeing everything they put into chasing their goals and records gave me a real passion for the sport.

⚪ How long have you been a USPC Judge?
I’ve been a USPC Judge for about a year, with previous experience judging MST meets and practicing commands and standards with lifters in training.

Being a judge isn’t always easy. You know how much work lifters put in, so giving a red light can be tough — but we have a responsibility to uphold the standards of the sport.

💪 What got you involved in powerlifting?
My first experience was Blake McCormick’s Back the Blue Powerlifting Event in 2021. I only caught the final few deadlifts and awards, but I was blown away by the atmosphere and how the community came together to support the lifters.

I knew I wanted to be part of it.

⚖️ Why did you become a judge?
Helping at MST meets showed me how important judging is to platform safety, consistency, and keeping a meet running smoothly. I wanted to contribute to that side of the sport.

🔥 Favorite part of judging?
Meeting the lifters, seeing their hard work pay off, and watching everyone rally behind them. Nothing beats seeing someone smash a PR! 🎉

🚨 Advice for more white lights?
Know the rulebook, but don’t wait until meet day to apply it.

Practice the rules AND commands during prep. Have training partners judge your lifts, or record yourself and review the footage.

Get creative and make meet standards part of your training before meet day! ⚪⚪⚪

⚪⚪⚪ MEET YOUR IPC JUDGE: ERICA LAMARCHE ⚪⚪⚪

Get to know the people behind the lights! Today we’re introducing IPC Judge Erica LaMarche from Pana, Illinois!

🏋️ How long have you been involved in powerlifting?
I’ve been involved in powerlifting for 3 years!

⚪ How long have you been an IPC Judge?
I’ve been a judge for about a year.

💪 What originally got you involved in powerlifting?
I wanted to lift to get stronger, so I started researching powerlifting. Soon after, I signed up for my first push/pull meet at the gym I now train at.

After that first meet, I was hooked!

⚖️ What made you decide to become a judge?
I had competed in two or three meets before deciding to become a judge. I loved the federation and wanted to find another way to help out and be involved, so I decided to become a judge!

🔥 What is your favorite part about judging IPC meets?
The meet atmosphere, the community, and getting to watch lifters hit those PRs!

So fun!! 💪

🚨 What is one piece of advice you would give lifters to help them get more white lights on meet day?
Familiarize yourself with the rulebook so you know what is expected of you.

Every meet is a learning experience — and most importantly, have fun! ⚪⚪⚪
