Frerking Motorsports traveled to Carlinville, Illinois, for another...

Frerking Motorsports traveled to Carlinville, Illinois, for another ITPA Illinois Tractor Pulling Association pull this weekend. It had been a while since the last time we were there, so we didn't have much of a play book to work from.

After looking over the track, we felt it was a little better than we originally expected, so we split the transmission and changed the gearing. Whether that was the right call or not, we'll never know, but it definitely seemed to help being earlier in the class order.

We drew the 4th spot in the pulling order and ended up finishing 4th overall. We'd always like to be a few spots higher, but now we have some new data for the track and we can build on that for the next time

We'll go through everything, make sure the tractor is ready, and get prepared for the next hook.

First place!🥇

Frerking Motorsports headed to Martinsville, Illinois, for our first pull of the year, and it's one for the books!
A very slick track and less-than-ideal starting line conditions made for a serious test of our weight setup and tune. Despite the challenging conditions, we got it done!
Our first hook of the season turned into our first 1st-place finish of the year!

The first event of the season is always nerve-racking, but it's even tougher when you're competing on a new track you've never seen before and dealing with difficult track conditions. We're proud of the way the team adapted and executed.

With field conditions too wet to allow any planting, we shifted our focus to the final assembly and startup procedures on the tractor. The engine fired successfully, and all major systems are operating as intended. We still have a few minor adjustments to make to fine-tune the setup, but overall we’re very pleased with the results!
