⭐️ New Instructor Spotlight! ⭐️
My name is Joc, and I am thrilled to be joining the incredible instructor team at Encore Dance Academy! Working with children has always been a true passion of mine, and I am so excited to combine that passion with my love for dance while helping each student grow in both confidence and technique.
Dance has been a part of my life since I was just two years old, and I began competing at the age of eight. Throughout my training, I have had the opportunity to study a wide variety of dance styles. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong technical versatility, performance skills, and a deep appreciation for the art of dance.
Following high school, I continued my dance career as a member of the Redline Express Dance Team, where I danced for four years and proudly served as team captain for two seasons. In this leadership role, I choreographed two full halftime productions, multiple sideline routines, and two hip-hop performances while mentoring and encouraging my teammates both on and off the floor.
In addition to my dance experience, I recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science and will begin pursuing my Master's degree in Child Life at Illinois State University in Fall 2026. My education has strengthened my understanding of child development and reinforced my passion for creating a positive, supportive environment where every child can grow and succeed.
I am incredibly grateful for the experiences that have shaped me as both a dancer and leader, and I cannot wait to share my knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of dance with the students and families at Encore. I look forward to an amazing season and to becoming part of such a talented and welcoming dance family!
