We are proud to announce another Black Belt promotion with regard to one of our Senseis. On January 14, 2026, Sensei Chad Green was promoted by Professor Roger L. Fife, Shihan Andrewe Johnson, and Shihan Christopher Roderick to the rank of Sandan, 3rd Degree Black Belt. Sensei Green’s son Brantley (Ku Kyu, Second Degree White Belt) is also pictured. Sensei Green began his Kempo Journey in Canton and subsequently relocated to Pekin. He has begun teaching Kempo in Pekin to a group of students including his son, and Shihans Johnson and Roderick recently attended a promotion grading for Brantley and three other students of Sensei Green at Kosho Ryu Kempo Karate — Pekin. (Shihan Johnson’s Note: Sensei Green and Brantley were not in uniform because they were not informed ahead of time that Sensei Green was being promoted and only believed they were bringing patches to Professor Fife, Shihan Johnson, and Shihan Roderick from the Pekin branch of our school that night, but they were happily surprised to learn of Sensei Green’s promotion to Sandan!)
