This past week, our girls basketball program traveled to East Tawas for our summer team camp.
We arrived on Tuesday and kicked things off with our first annual team scavenger hunt, with Daisy and Allison coming away as the winners. We wrapped up the evening by spending time together playing card games and building team chemistry.
Wednesday was our first day of competition, where we played three games against tough, resilient opponents. After returning home, we continued our team bonding with icebreakers and a trip for ice cream.
On Thursday, we finished camp by competing against Bay City Western and Hale, two fundamentally sound and talented teams that provided great competition.
The week was filled with fun, growth, and plenty of team bonding. It was exciting to see so many new faces and young athletes eager to work and improve. A special thank you to the Wilcox family for opening their home to us and providing meals throughout the trip. We built a lot of momentum this week—now it’s time to keep pushing forward, attack the rest of the summer, and continue getting better every day.
