It takes a village to build a strong athletic program.
Our coaches, athletes, parents, fans, and volunteers all play a role in creating the culture at Byron. This fall, we are looking to add another important piece. A sports announcer to be the voice of our Eagles.

If you love Byron Athletics and want a front-row seat to the action, we’d love to have you join us.

Another day, another opportunity for our Eagles to represent Byron.

While some athletes were getting stronger in the weight room, others were sharpening their skills in the gym, and another group was traveling together to compete and build memories.

πŸ’ͺ 21 boys started their day putting in work in the weight room.

🏐 13 volleyball athletes continued their camp, improving their skills and learning how to compete as a team.

πŸ€ Our girls basketball program hit the road to Tawas to kick off team camp. Some of the best moments in sports happen outside of the games themselves β€” long bus rides, team meals, learning how to support each other, and creating a bond that carries into the season.

It’s not just building stronger athletes. It’s building teammates, leaders, and relationships that will last long after the final whistle.

Enjoy the time together, keep representing the purple and gold the right way, and keep making memories.

Another GREAT day of summer workouts for our Byron Eagles! πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›

The best part isn’t just the numbers β€” it’s the commitment. Every athlete who walked through our doors today made the choice to get 1% better.

πŸƒ Cross Country β€” 6 athletes completed a run and tough calisthenics workout

πŸ“£ Cheer β€” 12 athletes building strength, confidence, and teamwork

πŸ€ Girls Basketball & πŸ’ͺ Girls Weight Room β€” 5 athletes getting stronger together

🏐 Volleyball β€” 20 athletes showed up ready to compete and improve

🏈 Football & πŸ’ͺ Boys Weight Room β€” 18 athletes grinding to become better players and young men

⚽ Soccer β€” 2 athletes putting in the work

That’s 63 athletes in total choosing to spend their summer improving themselves.

No one is forcing them to be here (well maybe a little push here and there) There are no crowds, no trophies, and no Friday night lights in June. There is simply a choice every day: stay comfortable or chase growth.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes, our coaches, and our parents who continue to make Byron Athletics a priority. The standard is being raised one workout, one practice, and one day at a time.

Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep building.
The future is bright for Byron Athletics. GO EAGLES! πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›

Week 2 of Byron Eagles Summer Workouts is here! πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›

Week 1 was a great start. We saw athletes show up, step outside of their comfort zones, and begin building confidence. Now the challenge becomes accountability.

The excitement of a new summer wears off for a lot of people. The athletes who continue to show up on the days they’re tired, sore, or don’t feel like it are the ones who will see the biggest growth.

Tough workouts build tough athletes, but more importantly they build discipline, resilience, and character.

Reminder: All incoming 7th-12th grade Byron athletes are welcome to attend summer training. Whether you’re a returning varsity athlete or just starting your journey, there is a place for you. Come ready to work, compete, and get better.

The standard is being raised one workout, one practice, and one day at a time. Let’s have another great week and continue building something special together.

Go Eagles! πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸ¦…

What a great Friday to finish the first week of summer training! The momentum is building, and we are just getting started. Keep pushing and keep showing up.

I also want to take a moment to recognize the coaches who are sacrificing their summer hours to pour into our athletes and help them grow, not just as players, but as young men and women. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

A huge thank you also goes out to our parents who are making the commitment to get their athletes to workouts, practices, and clinics. By making these opportunities a priority, you are helping raise the standard of what it means to be a Byron Eagle.

This is a movement, and every coach, athlete, and parent has a role in it. Together, we can move mountains. One workout. One practice. One day at a time.

Reminder: Boys basketball will be tomorrow from 2–4 PM in the high school gym.

Other than that, enjoy your weekend! Fire up the grill, go fishing, relax, and spend some much-needed time with your families. We’ll be ready for our athletes to come back Monday for another week of competing, improving, and getting better.

Remember, all athletes entering 7th through 12th grade are welcome to join us this summer. They WILL be challenged, they WILL be pushed, and if they commit to the process, they WILL get better.
The future of Byron Athletics is built one day at a time.

Go Eagles! πŸ¦…πŸ’œπŸ’›

Another great day of summer workouts! Confidence is being built early, relationships are growing, and we’re continuing to build momentum. We love the direction our athletes are heading!

Reminder for tomorrow’s schedule:

⚾ Baseball Banquet – 6:00 PM in the cafeteria

πŸ€ Boys Basketball – 2:00–4:00 PM tomorrow and Saturday

πŸ‹οΈ Girls Weight Room – 3:00–4:00 PM

πŸ€ Girls Basketball – 4:00–5:00 PM

🏈 Football:
β€’ QB/WR Clinic has changed to 6:00–7:00 PM
β€’ DB Clinic will remain 7:00–8:00 PM
With such a young football team, it is extremely important that our athletes attend these clinics to continue learning the game and developing their understanding of different positions, even if they don’t normally play that spot.

Keep showing up, keep improving, and keep building. The work we put in now will show when the seasons arrive. Go Eagles!

Day 3 of summer training and we’re continuing to see growth!

We had 2 girls in the weight room and girls basketball, 7 athletes at volleyball, and 15 boys in the weight room today.

We expect our girls numbers to continue growing as our softball season wraps up. Those athletes have earned some rest, and we fully support them taking a week or so to recover, recharge, and enjoy their accomplishment before jumping into summer training. Come back refreshed and ready to work!

The boys brought great effort today. We didn’t get our usual picture, but trust me when I say they were pushed hard and tested their conditioning limits.

Make sure everyone is drinking plenty of water, getting electrolytes, eating good food, and recovering the right way tonight.

And from what I hear... tomorrow might involve a little extra core work. πŸ‘€

Keep showing up. Keep getting better. Go Eagles! πŸ’œπŸ’›
