Hello Folks-Were a Week Away: On May 16th, the Butte Gun Club will be hosting a Precision Rifle and Gas Gun Match and a Rocky Mountain North PRS Qualifier Match. This will be challenging precision rifle and gas gun match consisting of 8 stages ranging from 200 to 1400 yards (.223/5.56 gas guns will only shoot targets out to 875 yards). Stages are close together, with easy walking between stages. We have some new props and courses of fire this year. The match will be shot from a variety of positions, including a tripod stage, and a bipod stage. Squads will be 8 or less shooters per squad. The Butte Gun Club Range is easily accessible from I-90/ I-15 and is less than 5 minutes off the Interstate. Food and Lodging can be found close by in Butte. The BGC has a number of range clean-up and enhancement projects that were looking to complete this year. We need members to help with these projects as this is an all-volunteer club. There are two projects being worked on Tuesday 5/5/26. If you can volunteer sometime, please contact Kurt Hansen by email at [email protected].
Below is a list of projects:
Replace south window in a cabin
Repair and paint backer board shed
Paint mower shed and glaze the windows
Replace a step at the pistol house
Spray weeds as needed around the range
Replace damaged and missing targets on the hill
Remove random interior fencing
Paint the garage doors
Replace the doors on the mower shed
Service the mower
Stabilize or demolish the outhouse at the benchrest
Replace the windows in the pistol house
Repair the well cover
Mow grass and weeds as needed
Rebuild the fence on the north boundary
Repair outdoor lighting on the pistol house
