A huge welcome to our newest teams signed up for the 9th Annual Ultimate Chipper for CureSearch! 💛🎗️ We can't wait to see everyone take on this year's challenge while raising money for children's cancer research.

🔥 We only have 10 team spots remaining and would love to fill every one of them! Grab a partner and get registered before they're gone. Anyone can participate- we can modify all movements to fit you ability💪

💛 Why We Chipper 💛

Wesley Zablocki was 7 years old and in second grade when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in March of 2011. Osteosarcoma is a rare type of bone cancer that created a tumor in his left distal femur. The following years of Wesley's life were taken over by doctor visits, hospital stays, needle pokes, surgeries, and chemotherapy treatments. No matter what the doctors told him, he always had hope that things were going to be okay.

In January 2015, Wesley started his third clinical trial. He had already gone through the two standard treatments available for osteosarcoma, and neither worked for his cancer. His parents researched, asked questions, and spoke with countless doctors to find another option. They enrolled him in every trial he qualified for.

On March 3, 2015, Wesley passed away at 11 years old.

Wesley's parents, Ted and Nikki Zablocki (both members of CrossFit Recreate), along with his big sister Zoe, became involved with CureSearch for Children's Cancer and their Ultimate Hike event in 2013. CureSearch's mission is to end children's cancer by driving targeted and innovative research with measurable results in an accelerated time frame.

In honor of Wesley, CrossFit Recreate created The Ultimate Chipper—a fundraiser where athletes complete Wesley's WOD while raising money for childhood cancer research. This year is our 9th Annual Ultimate Chipper!

Every number in the workout was chosen to represent part of Wesley's story. (See image above)

This workout is hard by design. But for an hour, we get to choose hard. Children like Wesley didn't get that choice.

Every rep, every dollar raised, every raffle ticket purchased, and every person who shows up helps support the research that gives families hope.

🚨 TEEN SUMMER SERIES IS HERE 🚨

This 11-week summer program is designed to help teens (ages 14–17) grow physically and mentally through fitness, mindset work, team connection, and real-world challenges.

📅 June 9 – August 22
📍 CrossFit Recreate
🗓 Tuesdays / Thursdays / Saturdays
⏰ 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

💰 $315 paid in full by June 1
OR
💰 3 payments of $125

This isn't just about workouts. It’s about helping teens head into the school year stronger, more confident, and better equipped to handle hard things.

Program is 3 weeks on/1 week off:
June 8-27th
July 7-25th
August 4-22nd

⚠️ Spots are limited and we need a minimum of 12 athletes to run the program.

Huge congratulations to Rachel on hitting her 500th class at CrossFit Recreate on Monday during Murph! What better way to celebrate than tackling a Hero workout and bringing her husband along for the ride 💪🇺🇸

Rachel is the definition of a Recreater. She always shows up with a smile, brings positive energy to those around her, and is the kind of member every gym hopes to have. She's an ambassador for our community and constantly jumps in to help however she can… including creating some of the coolest event shirts we’ve ever had 🙌

And let's not forget... she's STRONG AF 😎 If there’s a heavy barbell involved, Rachel is probably picking it up.
