Brunswick Pirates Touchdown Club Brunswick Pirates Touchdown Club's primary function is to provide funding for the Brunswick Pirates We want to create a championship mindset.

The vision of our program is clear and simple. We not only want to win State Championships but we want to be champions in life. We will set an expectation of excellence. Our goals will be set high and we will formulate a plan to achieve our desired goals. All members of our team will play vital roles in our mission. We want the member

s of the football program to graduate with the following skills:

1. To look people in the eye when talking to them.
2. To speak about things that matter.
3. To commit to something and actually stick with it.
4. To work hard for goals that they set for themselves.
5. To become a good teammate who works with multiple changing personalities on an ongoing basis and makes all work together.
6. To receive coaching and then give mentorship once it is learned.
7. To learn how to win, how to handle a loss, and how to move forward with a positive take away (Learning opportunity, stay strong).
8. To understand how to deal with pressure with clarity of mind.
9. To learn the value of delayed gratification.
10. To appreciate structure and understand its value. These are real skills that student athletes can take with them when they are in real situations in life. These qualities will help them become better community members, husbands, and fathers. Our program will not exclude students from having the opportunity to be a part of the team. All student-athletes will have the opportunity to learn. It is our belief that good coaches give encouragement. This program will not be built strictly on motivation and hype, but rather it will be built on empowerment. Motivation, by itself, might get us through a practice or a situation, but empowering will give us the belief that we can be something more. Empowering our program will get everyone involved to continue the work when it becomes the grind. We will be the type of coaches that tells all team members that they are the reason we are winners. We will provide encouragement and the opportunity for encouragement. We will learn to fight for what we love, to belong to something bigger than self, and to work with diversity. It is our goal to not only build championship caliber student-athletes, but to also build our team to become champions in life. So, our students can grow up to be productive adults excelling in a competitive global environment

Today we're checking in with Aidan Watford, who is continuing his football journey right here in Georgia at Shorter University!

Aidan saw action along the offensive line during his first season with the Hawks in 2025, and now he's back for YEAR TWO ready to continue putting in work in the trenches! 💪🏾🔥

Before becoming a Hawk, Aidan represented the Blue & Gold at Brunswick High School, where he earned:

Micheal is entering his third season at Kentucky State, and he continues to make his presence felt on the field! 💪🏾🔥

During the 2025 season, he:

🔥 Played in all 11 games
🔥 Recorded 27 total tackles
🔥 Added 2 tackles for loss
🔥 Recorded 2 sacks
🔥 Forced 1 fumble

Through his first two seasons at Kentucky State, Micheal has appeared in 19 games and recorded 36 career tackles! 🏈💪🏾

Now it's time for YEAR 3! 👀🔥

New school. New season. Same Pirate! 💙💛🏈
Today’s Next Level Pirate is McClain Fineran, who is continuing his college football journey at Washburn University!

🏈 #47 | Placekicker
📏 5'10" | 175 lbs
🎓 Sophomore
📍 Brunswick, GA

McClain began his college career at Shorter University, where he gained valuable experience as a kicker. During the 2024 season, he appeared in three games, was 2-for-2 on extra points, and recorded three kickoffs for 167 yards.

He continued competing for Shorter in 2025 before making the move to Washburn. 🔥

Now he's ready for a NEW CHAPTER in Topeka, Kansas! 💪🏾

But before Shorter and before Washburn, McClain was a BRUNSWICK HIGH PIRATE! 🏴‍☠️
During his time in the Blue & Gold, McClain earned:
🏆 All-Region Honors
🏆 All-State Class 6A Honors

McClain was also part of Brunswick's 2024 college signing class, earning the opportunity to continue his football career at the collegiate level.
Now he's taking that Pirate work ethic with him to Washburn University, and Pirate Nation will be cheering him on from Brunswick!

We’ve highlighted our Pirates playing college football across the country… but today, we’re taking NEXT LEVEL PIRATES all the way to the NFL!🏈🔥

From BRUNSWICK HIGH ➡️ GEORGIA ➡️ LOS ANGELES RAMS, Warren McClendon Jr. continues to make Pirate Nation proud on football’s biggest stage!

Warren's journey from Brunswick is something special!

As a Pirate, he was a four-star prospect, earned AJC Class 6A All-State honors, was named First-Team All-Region 2-6A 🏴‍☠️

Then it was off to Athens, where Warren became a major part of the Georgia Bulldogs' offensive line:

🏆 BACK-TO-BACK NATIONAL CHAMPION
🏆 2022 Coaches' First-Team All-SEC
🔥 Started all 14 games at right tackle in 2022
🔥 Started all 15 gamesduring Georgia's 2021 National Championship season
⭐ FWAA Freshman All-American

And then came the NFL!🙌🏾

Warren was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and his professional career continues to grow. 💪🏾🔥

But one of the things we appreciate most is that Warren hasn't forgotten where it all started.
