Our Brunswick High Girls Cross Country Team competed this past weekend at the GHSA Sectional Meet β€” featuring 31 schools from Regions 1, 2, 3, and 5! The top 12 teams advanced to the State Championships in Carrollton…

The girls finished 12th overall and have officially qualified for the State Meet β€” marking the FIRST TIME in school history the Girls team has reached State since GHSA instituted the Sectional format! βš”οΈ

The Brunswick High Girls and Boys Cross Country teams had a strong showing at the Three Rivers Classic in Hazlehurst! πŸ’™πŸ’›

✨ Girls Team (5th out of 13) ✨
β€’ Isabella Dixon broke the school record with a blazing 20:16! She placed 6th overall and claimed the top spot for BHS girls for the first time this season! πŸ”₯
β€’ Kimball Alderman followed with a 20:32 (PR) and a 10th-place finish, showing her steady improvement!
β€’ Cheyenne Crosby ran a strong 21:18 for 16th place, continuing her leadership role with this young, surging group!
β€’ Audrey Wolfe (24:43) and Estefania Vences-Lazo (24:57) rounded out the top five for the Lady Pirates!

✨ Boys Team (8th out of 18) ✨
β€’ Isaiah Whiddon led the Pirates for the second straight meet, finishing in 18:10 for 22nd place!
β€’ Ben Aguirre (18:13, 25th) and Tucker Teston (18:30, 30th) followed closely behind!
β€’ Eli Petrovay (19:21) and freshman Jakarri Moses (20:13) completed the top five for the boys!
