In only two years at Glynn Academy, high jumper Alyssa Martin made sure she left her mark in the school history books by winning The News’ 2026 Girls Track MVP.

Glynn Academy Track and Field wrapped up an incredible year yesterday at the state track meet in Athens!

Boys finished 9th in the state and the Girls finished 22nd

Captured another individual State Champion in the 110m Hurdles

Boys team placed 4 athletes in 5 events on the podium.

First time since 2017 the girls team has placed 2 athletes on the podium.

The Boys team captured the first region title since 1988

Set 6 school records(4 for the boys and 2 for the girls) this year.

Congratulations to Jackson Hunter on finishing 5th in the 3200 at the 5A state meet. His time was 9:20 which is a PR and School Record!

Congratulations to Na’Quawndre Coleman on finishing 6th in the 300m hurdles at the 5A state meet. He ran a 38.79. Quan currently hold the school record with a time of 38.42!

Congratulations to Alyssa ‘Nae’ Martin on finishing 3rd in high jump at the 5A state meet. She jumped 5-4 which is her PR and currently sits her 3rd all time at Glynn Academy!
