🍿🥎 Snack Shack Volunteers Needed! ⚾️🍿

We’d love to get some more families involved in helping out at the Snack Shack this fall! There are lots of open spots right now, including this coming week, and only a few have been filled.

Choose one game or choose a few. Any little bit of help makes a difference! All proceeds from the Snack Shack go right back into our kids and our baseball and softball programs, so keeping it open really does benefit everyone.

And kids can help too! Kids ages 10+ are welcome to work the Snack Shack as long as a parent is nearby. It’s actually such a great opportunity for them to give back to their league while practicing math, handling money, and building social skills. We had a bunch of kids jump in and help this spring, and it was so wonderful to see! School, homework / projects and practice time always come 1st, PLEASE do not miss practice or games to volunteer.

If you’ve been looking for an easy way to get involved with the league, this is a great one! Let’s get those spots filled and keep the Snack Shack going this fall!

✨ WE ARE SO CLOSE! ✨

Thanks to some INCREDIBLY generous donations from local businesses & members of our community, we have almost reached our goal for our Light Up Lewis campaign! 🥎💡⚾️

Watching this project go from an idea to actually seeing the lights become a reality has been pretty amazing. We truly could not have gotten this far without everyone who has donated, shared our posts, attended fundraisers, volunteered their time, or supported us along the way.

We’re in the home stretch now! 💙 Every single donation, big or small, gets us one step closer to lighting up these fields for our kids and our community for years to come.

🌱 PLEASE STAY OFF THE FRESHLY HYDROSEEDED AREAS! 🌱

Another big step forward at Lewis Field! Please help us protect all of the work being done by staying completely off the newly hydroseeded areas while the grass gets established. Please remind your players and kiddos too! ⚾️🥎🌱

And a HUGE thank you to Babe’s Lawn Care, a local business and family, who not only donated ALL of the hydroseeding for our fields, but came out and did all of the work for us too! 💙🖤

We seriously cannot say thank you enough. So much of what we’ve been able to accomplish has been because of local families and businesses who have stepped up, donated their time, materials and labor, and helped us make these improvements possible for our kids and our community.

Day FOUR is underway, and this time we called in the big dog! 💪🏻😂 A longtime family friend and Brookfield resident, Mr. Tom Haney!

Thank you SO MUCH for coming out and helping Coach Eric today! We seriously appreciate it! 🥎💙

We’re hoping tomorrow is mostly filling everything back in and wrapping up this phase, and then we can move on to the electrical work and LIGHTS! 💡✨ EDIT: powered through and got it done today!

Instead of doing another traditional fundraiser this fall, we’re asking our baseball and softball families & community to help us stock the Snack Shack! 💙🖤

We’re grateful for donations of food, drinks, or any of the other little things that help keep the Snack Shack running throughout the season. Any little bit helps!

Drop-off information is on the flyer below, and if those days or times don’t work, just reach out and we’ll make other arrangements. (8/24, 8/26, 8/27, 8/31, 9/2, 9/3)

Day THREE of working on the softball field lights! 🥎💡💪🏻

Continuing trenching and burying conduit for the electric! And Mother Nature definitely wasn’t making it easy. 🌧️ It poured all morning, but a little rain wasn’t going to stop these guys! They powered through and kept right on working.

Another long day, another big step forward, and another day closer to LIGHTS ON at Lewis Field! ✨🥎✨

So incredibly thankful for everyone putting in the time, muscle, and hard work to make this project happen. 💙

A huge thank you to Coach Jay & Coach Eric for putting in another long day at the softball field! 🥎💪🏻

Another day of hard work and another day closer to getting it all done! And a HUGE thank you to EVERYONE who has helped get us to this point. Whether you’ve donated, sponsored, volunteered, shared our posts, showed up to help, or supported us along the way, every little bit has made a difference. 💙

We’re pivoting the plan a little based on registration numbers each season and are now shooting to have the softball field lights up and running by the end of the fall season! 🤞🏻✨ We’re hoping we might even get a game or two in under the lights before the season ends!

From there, we’ll keep working, fundraising, and pushing forward with the goal of finishing the baseball field this spring. ⚾️

There’s still work to do, but we’ve come SUCH a long way, and we’re getting closer every single day!

💡 Exciting progress at Lewis Field! 💡

We’re so excited to see another step of our Light Up Lewis project happening! Trenching is underway and the conduit for the new field lights is being buried! ⚾🥎

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped get us this far through donations, sponsorships, fundraising, volunteering, and support. Seeing this project physically going into the ground is pretty amazing! (And an even bigger thank you to the guys out there digging and physically making it happen!)

We still have work to do and funds to raise before we can install the actual lights. If anyone has leads on potential sponsors, businesses that may be interested in donating, or other funding opportunities, please feel free to reach out. Every connection helps us get a little closer to lighting up Lewis Field!
