The Crossbar Cafe offers many varieties of snacks, drinks (hot & cold) and food!! We would like everybody to know that we keep the ice arena completely clean! We have done a lot of painting as well! We have updated the locker rooms, as well as adding an additional locker room! The locker room bathrooms have been retiled. The warm room is updated with new games, an electric fireplace and many cosmetic updates! A Olympia Ice Machine & gently used set of boards and tempered glass have been put in!! We are very proud of the rink and hope that all of our customers are pleased with all of the updates! We are in the process of updating our website!! Brewer Youth Hockey in a collaboration with Penobscot Ice Arena are pleased to offer the very popular Penobscot Pounders Hockey Camp this summer. The camp runs from July 13th-16th and is open to all 6u-8u skaters. 30 Spots are available and historically have filled up fast.

A lot of work going on during ice out shutdown. Here are a few pics of various things that are getting done and upgraded. We have been very busy !!! Thanks go out to Mike Woods for servicing our new Olympia , getting a small repair done , and welding 2 of our goals. Also thank you to Tim at Norlens Water Treatment for coming up with a great plan for filtering the water as we " make ice " ...then he will be installing that system for us. Thanks in advance to Mike Ellis from Trane for coming over when Randy gets the chiller up and running later this week. And a HUGE thank you to the crew 👏 Randy Walshy Dan John and Aidan. They have done a multitude of tasks !!! Repairs...floors...painting... cleaning... organizing etc. You have to be willing to do a little of everything at this job. Last but not least - Holly Scott who has volunteered to come in and assist with a lot of cleaning all while keeping us in line ( sort of ) and making us laugh 😄.

ICE OUT at PIA today ! Huge thanks to Jason Cyr and Josh Qualey for changing their schedules to get in there a day early and for breaking up the ice and hauling it. Also thanks to our crew - Randy for coming in on Sunday to shut down the chiller and release the system...and for coming in early today to help out. Dan for being willing to jump in on everything that comes up since he got here only a few weeks ago...and for helping push ice and water today. Aidan for going with the flow on whatever we need him to do without complaint...and pushing ice and water today. GQ Brooke and Ryan from Penobscot Cleaning for running the truck mounts and extracting water. AND Walshy for shaving ice down for many many hours without a lot of sleep in between...being there early today doing everything needed. Hope he can rest well later 😴 Great job all ❤️
