Pirate Baseball Academy In the spring and summer, we field teams at every age level from 7U to 17U.

Our purpose is to give boys living in the Branson school district the opportunity to play baseball, while focusing on skill development, good character, and having fun.

🏆 14U plays in Ozark Friday - 4:00 p & 6:00 p, Saturday - 3:00 p, and Sunday - TBD;

🏆 16U plays at Pirate Park Friday - 11:00 a and Saturday - 1:00 p;

🏆 9U Black plays at Mickey Owen on Saturday - 2:00 p, 3:30 p, & TBD;

🏆 10U Red plays Saturday in Republic - 10:30 a, 1:30 p, & 4:30 p;

🏆 11U Red plays in Republic on Saturday - 10:40 a, 2:00 p, & 5:20 p; and

🏆 8U Black plays at Mickey Owen on Sunday - TBA.

🚨🏴‍☠️ TEAM SPOTLIGHT 🏴‍☠️🚨

PBA 9U Red has played 31 games so far this season – spring league in Springfield, summer league in Branson, and four weekend tournaments.

Head Coach Zach Reed is in his second season coaching with PBA. He is assisted by John Karr, Shawn Jones, Buddy Caputo, and Ryan Meuer.

When asked to describe the team in one word, Coach Reed chose - improving. 9U Red has placed an emphasis on building strong character, developing a short memory after setbacks, thinking ahead to the next play, and making simple plays simple. Those goals have helped the players continue to grow throughout the season. Coach Reed said, “We’ve battled through plenty of adversity, and are continuing to grow in the realization that failure is common in baseball.”

One of the season's most memorable moments came when Waylon Caputo threw a no-hitter through three innings. In that game the entire defense stepped up behind him. Other highlights include four inside the park home runs in a single game and turning two double plays.

For the remainder of the season, 9U Red will continue to focus on character and improvement.

Coach Reed added about his team, “We have a bunch of goofballs with sliding mitts and arm sleeves, and we watch a lot of Banana Ball.”

We are excited to see what the future holds for this great group of boys!

Playing in the rain most of the day Saturday, 8U Black went 2-1 in the El Dorado Rock Lot tournament in El Dorado Springs. They came up two runs short in the championship game, finishing in 2nd place!
