Last evening for Dynamite! Family dinner at Roosters with some awards mixed in. Can’t say enough how much these girls mean to me! They have shown so much growth and grit over the summer❤️ We did an anonymous survey and all the girls got to vote for who won each award:
Drama Queen- Danni Riley (there may have been some tears at tournaments a time or 2🤣)
Defensive Player of The Year- Mac Blankenbeckler. Girl absolutely dominates the outfield and will full on jump over fences, belly dive, and practically do a flip for an out!
Team Clown- Abby Neria. This girl has been such a pleasure to coach. Every laugh heard from the dugout/field was from her. Never a dull moment with her!
Teammate of The Year- Leigha Kayser. Man oh man, how blessed these girls were to have her. She holds herself to the highest standard, and picks up anybody when they are down (including myself with coaching decisions). She has been such a role model for the younger girls on the team, and is the type of person every athlete needs to be. Her college team is so lucky to have her🤍
Offensive Player of the Year- Danni Riley. One of our leadoff batters with an insane amount of stolen bases. As a coach, you didn’t have to give her a call while she was in the box. She could read the defense, lay down a sneak bunt, but also hit a long ball.
Most Improved- Ally Oeder and Morgan Mertz. This was only Allys second year playing softball, and Morgan’s first year playing travel ball. Getting to see these ladies develop into some tough ball players was one of the greatest things from this summer.
And lastly, an award that doesn’t need a trophy, the longest player of Dynamite Elite, Mac Blankenbeckler. She has been with us since the beginning, and stayed with us until the end! Her loyalty to this team deserves the biggest shoutout, and it’s been such a blessing to see her grow these last 3 years.
A team we will never forget. Coach Jump and Papa Coach Riley love you all endlessly.
