Big change coming to SAM Soccer! ⚽

Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, youth soccer clubs across the country will transition from birth year–based age groups to school year–based age groups.

This new format, effective August 2026, is designed to better align players with their classmates—helping strengthen team chemistry, player development, and the overall experience on and off the field.

Spring soccer is right around the corner, and there’s still plenty of time to jump in. Weekly practices, an 8‑game season, and a whole lot of SAM fun are waiting for your young soccer star .

Recreational registration is still open, and the season kicks off the weekend of March 27.

Meet the newest employee at the SoccerPlex. Oreo is the new Director of Wildlife Management and will help our grounds crew keep the geese off the fields to make sure the fields stay in prime playing conditions.

Please remember that when you see Oreo on campus that he is a working dog and not always available for social time.
