It’s not often you meet someone who gives more than 40 years of their life to one community. Gene Lowery did exactly that. Through countless seasons, thousands of players, and immeasurable hours of service, he helped shape the spirit and future of our UMAC baseball family.

In early September, as we kick off fall ball, we will come together to honor his extraordinary legacy and the generations he inspired. More details will be forthcoming but we hope everyone whose lives he touched will join us in celebrating a true pillar of our league.

UMAC Families,

It is with a heavy heart that we share our former President and face of UMAC Baseball, Gene Lowery, passed away today. As you may know, Gene moved back to his family home the last few years, but remained a big part of UMAC. He always wanted to know how the seasons went and made a return to Taylor last spring, as we dedicated Lowery Park in approach of our 60th year as an organization.

Gene volunteered with UMAC since the 1970’s, coaching, maintaining fields and the grounds, running the Snack Shack, and as our President for so many years. He touched hundreds, if not thousands of lives through his service and we will miss him greatly.

Please keep his family and friends in your prayers. More information on services and a memorial at Lowery Park will be forthcoming.

Opening Day was a hit! ⚾️ Players were in such euphoria, they forgot a few things. Today’s episode of Lost and Found features Benny’s hat, Zach (21)’s water jug, and an assortment of friends. If you recognize them, they’ll be up by the snack shack. No appointment needed 😁 Take a car magnet too!
