Do you wait until you are 100% recovered before you get back into the gym? You might be waiting longer than you should be…

Once you’re no longer contagious and your symptoms are improving, getting into the gym can actually help your recovery. Exercise helps increase circulation, supports your lymphatic system, and can help you get back to feeling like yourself again.

Listen to your body. You don’t need to jump back in at full speed. Start where you are, modify as needed, and focus on building momentum.

Trainer Tip Tuesday

Holiday weekends are fun and full of memories… now you get back to normal as quickly as possible.
That means:
• Normal breakfast
• Normal lunch
• Normal dinner
• Back to your water
• Back to your electrolytes
• Back to your sleep schedule
You do NOT need to “start over.”
You just need to get back into your routine.

One weekend doesn’t ruin your progress, but staying off track longer than necessary can make it harder to get your momentum back.

But it can’t measure how strength is gained or how muscle is built.

It doesn’t measure how you improve energy, have better balance and mobility.

After 40, maintaining muscle becomes one of the biggest keys to staying strong, active, and independent.
You can lose weight and still lose the very thing your body needs most.

A good bedtime routine doesn’t just help you sleep better… it helps you show up better.
The late-night scrolling, inconsistent sleep, and “I’ll just do one more thing” cycle? It catches up with all of us eventually.

At Alloy Personal Training Bountiful, we know real health isn’t just about the workout. Recovery matters too. Your body needs time to recharge so you can build strength, improve energy, and keep showing up consistently.

A few simple habits can make a huge difference
Start your bedtime routine 30 minutes to an hour before bed
Turn off TV and put down your phone
Take a shower or bath
Journal your to dos to get things out of your head
Keep a consistent bedtime

Fitness is about creating routines that support the life you want to live.
