This is what the Mixed Doubles looks like at Smash. Competitive, yes but the kind of competitive where you’re smiling the whole time.

April Player of the Month: Gwyn Whalen 🎾

If consistency had a face for the month of April, it would be Gwyn.

Throughout April, Gwyn has fully immersed herself in the padel grind: showing up for lessons, group clinics, open matches, and even stepping into tournaments to push herself and take her game to the next level. Her determination to improve is impossible to miss, and she keeps getting better every single time she steps onto the court.

But what makes Gwyn truly special is the energy she brings with her. Always encouraging, always smiling, and always competing with the perfect attitude — no matter the score. She plays hard, lifts up the people around her, and makes every match more enjoyable to be a part of.

One of our favorite things about Gwyn is that padel has become a family affair. Seeing her come to the club with her husband and children to share the joy of the sport is exactly what our community is all about.

We’re incredibly lucky to have someone like Gwyn helping grow the spirit of our padel family ❤️

One of the best things about padel is that it can be as competitive as you want, but it never stops being social.

That’s what makes tournaments like the USPA 100 so special. The rallies are intense, the competition is real but these photos capture what we’re most proud of at Smash. What stays after the last point is played: community and camaraderie.

Player of the Month: Sarah Futral!

One of the newest faces at the club, but already impossible to miss, Sarah has taken our community by storm with her infectious smile and energy.

No racket sports background? No problem. Sarah has powered her way onto the court with pure athleticism, adrenaline, and determination. What started with intro clinics quickly turned into beginner open plays… and now she’s jumping straight into tournament matchplay!

She doesn’t shy away from competition, brings fearless energy to every match, and somehow always leaves the court the same way she walked on, smiling 😁

Safe to say, this is just the beginning for Sarah. Congrats to our March Player of the Month !

Boulder's first padel league is here. 🎾

Spring League 2026 kicks off this April 28th - 8 weeks of competitive match play, rotating partners, and post-match drinks.

Match results count toward your NPRP and WPR ratings.
Three divisions. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings starting Apr 28.
Early bird pricing ends April 12th (or first 8 spots per division).
