Boulder Creek Fishing Report:
7/27/26
We’re seeing decent conditions on Boulder Creek below Boulder Falls, with the Orodell flow gauge toward the bottom of the canyon holding near 30 CFS lately.
Fish are pushing toward the deep water near fast seams and drop offs due to warm water temps. Try and find the sections where the creek is steeper and the water is moving well. Plan to fish roughly the 5 or 6 AM to 11 AM window during these hottest dog days of summer.
Above Boulder Falls has come down to a trickle, so we’re mostly considering it off the menu. Especially due to recent heat extremes.
Try a dry-dropper when searching below the Falls with a little foam terrestrial in size 12-16 dropping down to a zebra midge, micro may, Spanish bullet, hare’s ear, or pheasant tail in size 14-18. A small parachute adams is also always a great bet if you’re in the mood to fish a single dry on the Creek, and the caddis have been popping in the afternoon along with some red quills and PMDs, sallies, etc.
