Everything you see today started with a loss. I was ten years old when I lost my first match, and that day I understood something that shaped my life. Nobody was coming to save me. I could complain, blame, make excuses, or I could take responsibility and get better.
My path was never comfortable. I worked construction, trained tired, competed without the ideal situation, and kept going because quitting was never an option in my mind. When I moved to the United States, it didn’t get easier. I worked long hours and trained before or after work. Some days I was exhausted, but I showed up anyway. That’s where I understood what commitment really means. 🥋
Every time I gave everything, I grew. Every time I didn’t, I paid the price. It’s simple. Jiu-jitsu doesn’t lie to you. 🔥
BTT Back Bay was built the same way I built my career. Not with hype. Not with shortcuts. With responsibility, structure, and standards. I didn’t build it just to open another gym. I built it to create the kind of environment I wish everyone had when they start.
This is not about my name. It’s about mindset. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and understanding that progress comes from responsibility. 💪
