Beyond the Box Score: KWU Girls Basketball Combine Review

The Girls Basketball Evaluation at Kansas Wesleyan Women's Basketball featured 22 athletes undergoing standardized performance testing by Revive Performance. This assessment provided objective athletic profiles, highlighting different strengths in speed, explosiveness, length, and movement. Key performers included Kyiah Samuelson and Reagan Kraft for acceleration, Regan Duran for explosiveness, and Rilynn Patry for length. Other athletes like Kaylyn Becker demonstrated that size isn't the only determinant of athletic impact, while younger participants showcased promising potential for the future of Kansas girls basketball, emphasizing depth rather than just individual stars.

The Baker University Prospect Combine powered by Revive Performance showed that the skilled and big skilled groups had depth beyond the headline names.

Ayden Frack brought athleticism, explosiveness, and the top long agility mark of the combine.
Carson McCall showed high-level short-space athleticism and one of the best jumping profiles in the field.
Zach Dowhower flashed big skilled movement traits that could become much more valuable with added size.
Cole Ranieri emerged as a Class of 2028 quarterback watchlist prospect with frame and agility.
Austin Ramthun showed verified speed that college coaches notice.
Braylon Doleman brought one of the more balanced athletic profiles of the day.
Landon Traver looked like a compact, fast, explosive athlete with a strong frame for his height.

Not all of these athletes are finished products. Most are not supposed to be.

That is what makes events like the Baker University Prospect Combine valuable. They give athletes a snapshot of where they are, what they do well, and what needs to improve next.

For college coaches, the data creates a reason to watch the film.

For athletes, it creates a development plan.

And for several skilled and big skilled prospects at Baker, it created momentum worth carrying into the rest of the summer.

The Baker University Prospect Combine powered by Revive Performance created several different recruiting storylines.

Terrence Bryant showed one of the best overall athletic profiles in the big skilled group. Deacon Barber flashed frame and explosiveness that could project well to the edge. Cooper Bruna won with consistency and complete athleticism. Brecken Mitchell showed major upside as a young Class of 2029 prospect. Cooper Rochel gave coaches a young lineman with size, strength, and movement tools. Benjamin Bell brought one of the most unique versatility profiles in the field. Andrew Minder brought sleeper speed. Dawson Cassida showed a strong all-around big skilled profile outside of top-end speed. Jaxsen Seed showed the kind of program-fit versatility that NAIA and JUCO coaches should value.

The quarterback group gave coaches three more names to know, with Bryis Alford, Brennan Smith, and Jacob Lieberknecht each showing a different path toward college-level evaluation.

That is what a strong combine should do. It should not tell the entire recruiting story. It should create more reasons to watch the film, track the development, and follow the athlete.

At Baker, several prospects did exactly that.

They created reasons to be watched.

The Class of 2029 is already making noise on the combine circuit, and the numbers from Revive Performance Wichita Trinity Combine confirm it.

These six skilled (and one lineman) prospects from the Midwest posted eye-opening measurables that show legitimate athletic upside — even if most are still sitting in the JUCO-to-D2 projection range today - they've got a ways to go to develop into true D1 talent.

The Class of 2029 showcased impressive potential at the Wichita Trinity Combine, Key athletes include Thalys Keo, a skilled athlete with strong movement skills; Jackson Corley, recognized for excep…
