🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️ What a weekend for TRI913 athletes!!

We had NINE kids out there racing their hearts out across two events this past weekend — and we couldn’t be more proud!

🔥 RipRoar Waukee — 8 of our athletes showed up and showed OUT at this race! The energy, the effort, the heart — you all crushed it!
🌟 Great Escape Triathlon (Jefferson City) — One of our own made the trip to Jefferson City and represented TRI913 in a big way taking first in her age group! Way to go!

This is what it’s all about — kids pushing their limits, competing with grit, and having fun doing it.

These athletes inspire us every single week! 🙌

The Starting Line: TRI913's First Year

This year, TRI913 got moving - learning new skills, building confidence, and realizing that triathlon is about more than racing. It’s teamwork, grit, and a whole lot of fun.

Let’s take a look back at Season One!
▶Three seasons of training = nonstop progress
🔵Some of our youngest athletes started the season unsure of the deep end and finished it cruising across the pool like pros.
🔵We learned how to use the pool clock to time our starts, pace our swims, and train smarter—plus how to use swim gear and level up our strokes.
🔵On the bike, athletes built up to completing three full loops of the Lollipop Loop at Shawnee Mission Park.
🔵On the run, we practiced speedwork, improved running form, and proudly completed two 5Ks.
🔵We sharpened our transition skills—learning the tricks of the trade to move quickly and confidently between each sport.

▶All that training paid off as we brought our skills together to race four multisport events—side by side as a team.

▶Between March and October, TRI913 racked up some serious mileage: 311,000+ meters swam, 2,050+ miles biked, and 500+ miles ran.

▶Proof that hard work + teamwork = a lot of fun

We’re just getting started! We can’t wait to swim, bike, and run with you in 2026!
