Disney World with an ND brain is... a lot. We know. That's why this retreat runs on different rules:

One park per day. No commando touring. No "we must ride everything" pressure. Early park access: the quiet hours before the crowds. Built-in rest. Downtime is scheduled, not squeezed in. Cooling towels and fidgets in your swag bag. Standard issue. Sit-down meals every day. Blood sugar is a regulation tool, friends. A group that will never make you explain why you need a minute.

Let's talk about why there are 15 total spots for the Disney retreat with 5 spots left!

It's not scarcity marketing. I could have made this 100 people and rented a ballroom.

But here's the thing about ND community: unmasking doesn't happen at scale. It happens when the group is small enough that you know everyone's name by day one. When nobody has to perform. When the introverts don't disappear and the talkers don't take over.

15 people. That's the number where real connection happens.

Did you know Disney World is literally one of the most ADHD-friendly environments on the planet?

My brain knows laundry is important.

My brain also does not care that laundry is important. 😂

That's because ADHD brains don't always run on importance. They're much more likely to get moving when there's:

⭐Intrest
🔍Curiosity
🎉Novelty
⏰Urgency

Or ICNU... "I see you." 💛

So instead of fighting my brain, I've started asking:

How can I make this task easier for my brain to WANT to start?

Laundry feels painfully boring?

🎧Put on a podcast I only listen to while folding.
🧺Take the basket somewhere different to fold it.
🐝Hop into body double and do it while other people are getting their stuff done too.

Suddenly, I haven't changed the laundry.

I've changed the fuel.

And learning to work WITH my brain instead of constantly wondering why I can't "just do it" has made such a difference.

..the therapist who holds space for everyone and hasn't had space held for HER in years.
..the coach who teaches regulation tools she doesn't have time to use.
..the teacher running on fumes by October. Which is when this retreat happens, by the way.
..the parent who has memorized every accommodation in their kid's IEP but never asked for one themselves.
..the leader who's excellent at work and empty everywhere else.

You spend your life being the support. For three days, you get to be the supported.

No shame is literally one of our house rules in the Hive!

Because body doubling isn't supposed to fell like someone is standing over you asking, "Did you do it yet?"

That's accountablitity.

Body double feels different.

It's being in a room with people who get it. You can show up stuck. You can change your task halfway through. You can have a day where your big accomplishment is simply opening the document.

And nobody is disappointed in you.

There's no grading. No guilt. No explaining why something that "should be easy" isn't easy today.

Just support, co-regulation, and people working alongside you.

And I think that's one of my favorite things about the HIVE...

You can actually feel the lack of shame in the room.

Sometimes taking the pressure OFF is exactly what helps us finally start.

This is me at Disney last May.

And yes, I wore the ears the whole time.

Because that trip changed something in me that 25 years of coaching, certifications, and self-work hadn't fully touched. Being in a place that was basically built for my brain, surrounded by people who didn't need me to mask for a single second of five whole days, that's not a vacation. That's medicine.

And now I get to do it again.

NeuroDopaminey EduventureQuest is back. September 2026. And the spots are almost gone.

This isn't a conference with a Disney backdrop. It's self-care that actually works for our brains. Learning that sticks because it's happening in an environment that has our nervous systems feeling safe enough to actually absorb it. Connection that lasts because nothing bonds neurodivergent humans faster than shared joy and zero judgment.
