It is with deep and incredible sadness that we share the passing of Joseph V. Boccia. The patriarch of our home, Joe was the "sound guy" for countless Recitals. The sweet sounds of his synthesizer keyboard added just the right touch to many a holiday or family gathering. His renditions of "Wooden Solider's" and "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" are still used in our shows.

He was a long time member of both Manuel's Black and White Orchestra and The Squires 4 playing gigs all over the New England area. More recently, he circuited local nursing homes and Senior Centers playing the music of the 1930's and 1940's, his preferred genre. A favorite and beloved gig was adding his musical flare to First Baptist Church in Beverly's annual Holiday Fair.

His greatest accomplishment was winning a talent competition playing his "Boogie Woogie". This led to an invitation to play at the Manuel/Mitchell family home. He came to play and never left! He and Olive celebrated 70 years together this past June.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Beverly.
