One year of 3Score Gym — thank you. 🙏

A year ago we opened the doors. What we didn't know yet was that you'd turn this place into a community — people who show up, cheer each other on, and get strong together.

That's what we're most proud of, and in year two we want to keep growing it.

So bring a friend this Friday, 6–7pm. Sign up at the front desk.

Here's a question worth sitting with: what does being strong actually buy you?

For most of us, it isn't a number on a barbell. It's the quiet, everyday stuff we don't want to give up.

Carrying all the grocery bags in from the car in one trip.

Taking the stairs without reaching for the railing — or thinking twice.

Getting down on the floor to play with the grandkids… and getting back up on your own.

That's what strength really is: independence. The freedom to do your own things, your own way, without having to ask for help or plan your day around what your body won't let you do.

And here's the part people miss — that independence isn't something you either have or you don't. It's something you build and keep. The strength you train for now is exactly what carries you through the decades ahead, still doing the things you love, still standing on your own two feet.

That's the whole reason we do this. At 3Score Gym, we build a barbell training program around your body, your goals, and your real life — coached by someone who actually knows your name.

Strong enough to stay independent. That's the goal. 💪

We asked Tamara why she chose 3Score Gym. Her answer:

"To get stronger and to make sure I'm mobile well into my later years." And what's kept her? "I keep getting stronger and beating previous PRs — and that's pretty motivating."

She came in to build strength and stay mobile well into her later years — and barbell training is delivering, one PR at a time.

Strength like this isn't just about the gym. Barbell training builds the bone density that keeps you mobile and independent for the long haul, and bone loss starts in your 30s — so the best time to start is now.

Remember those magazine quizzes? "Answer these questions, count your points, find out what it says about you." We made one. 📝
Swipe through, give yourself a point for every statement that sounds like you, and add them up at the end. It's a fun way to figure out something pretty important: whether the way you're training now is actually building the strength you'll want in your 60s, 70s, and beyond.
Here's the part most gyms won't tell you — bone loss starts in your 30s, decades before it ever gets diagnosed. Barbell training, done with a real coach, is one of the most effective ways to build and protect bone density and stay independent as you age.
So take the quiz. Then drop your score in the comments — we'd love to see it.

What actually happens in your first week at 3Score Gym?
A lot of people picture a gym membership as: sign up, grab a locker, figure it out yourself. That's not how we do things.
Here's what every new member hears from us in week one:
We ask what you want to be able to do — not what you weigh.
We talk about bone density early, because it starts declining in your 30s, long before most people think to address it.
Your program is built around your actual life — a trip, keeping up with your kids, staying strong for the next 20 years.
You're never wandering around wondering what to do next. Every session is coached.
And we'd rather see you twice a week, every week, than once in a while at full intensity.
That's coaching. That's 3Score Gym.

My body feels like it functions for the first time in years."

That's what Carissa told us after training with Coach Ave at 3Score Gym. Postpartum, her body had changed — and instead of pushing her through a one-size-fits-all program, we built one around exactly what she needed.

The result: a pain-free back, a strong core, and lifts she hadn't done safely in 15 years.

This is what personalized coaching is for — meeting your body where it is, and building real strength from there.
