Fishing Report

After a slow start this morning, the fishing steadily improved throughout the day.

Once the fish got going, we had consistent action on sea bass of all sizes with plenty of fish coming over the rail.

The anglers fishing jigs and sand eel teasers had the best results and stayed busy for much of the trip.

Beautiful weather, calm seas, and bent rods made for another enjoyable day on the water.

Fishing Report – Miss Belmar

Beautiful day on the ocean today with plenty of action to keep anglers busy.

Ling fishing led the way, with sea bass, winter flounder, and codfish mixed in throughout the trip. Everybody on the boat caught fish, with some anglers putting together especially nice catches.

The weather was beautiful, the ocean was calm, and there were plenty of smiles coming back to the dock.

That’s a good day in our book.

What’s biting right now on the Miss Belmar?

Sea bass and ling have been the stars of the show, with an occasional winter flounder mixed in.

After a long, cold winter, the water is still warming up, but we’re seeing more signs of life every day. The good news? It only takes a stretch of nice weather for things to really turn on.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get back out fishing, now is the time.

The fish are here, the ocean is beautiful, and the season is just getting started.

Today, we had a little of both.

Happy anglers, some fish headed home for dinner, and another beautiful day on the water aboard the Miss Belmar.

The pictures speak for themselves.

We had a lot of happy anglers aboard today with plenty of fish headed home for dinner and smiles all around.

Another beautiful day on the water with a nice variety of fish coming over the rail.

Anglers caught sea bass, fluke, whiting, ling, cod, and winter flounder throughout the trip. The anglers fishing jigs and teasers had the best results and stayed busy throughout the day.

As always, all blackfish were safely released.

The off season makes you miss days like these.

Fishing isn’t always about how hot the bite is.
It’s about time together, stories between drops, and moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until the boats are tied up.

2025 — what a year.

Fishing trips that kept us coming back for more.
Whale watching that never gets old.
Firework cruises, private charters, burials at sea, full rails, calm days, rough days, all part of life on the water.

This year was extra special as we celebrated 90 years of Miss Belmar.
Three generations. Countless memories. Traditions passed down and new ones made.

The message in a bottle turned into something really meaningful, a gift, a memory, a reminder of time spent together out here. That’s what it’s always been about.

To everyone who stepped on board in 2025, thank you.
We’re grateful for every trip, every story, every familiar face.

Here’s to more memories, more moments, and many more years on the water.
