Today, my heart is heavy. Usually, I’d be posting something cute for Mother’s Day, but this year feels different. My thoughts are consumed by the moms, grandmas, and families who have lost everything in the devastating floods in the south of Brazil.
I’m incredibly grateful for my own mom, my boys, and my husband who showered me with love, breakfast, gifts, and cards today. But amidst the celebration, we’ve been tirelessly working to sort through donations—organizing by gender, size, and carefully bagging each pair of shoes to ensure nothing gets lost on its journey to Brazil.
The news is gut-wrenching—more than 150 lives lost, 600 thousand displaced from their homes. And now, as the rain returns, the situation only grows more critical.
To every neighbor and friend who helped collect and donate items, your generosity overwhelms me. It’s moments like these that restore my faith in humanity. Together, we’re proving that even in the darkest of times, we can come together to support those in need.
My prayers are with every single family affected by this tragedy. May God bless them and provide them with strength and solace during this unimaginably difficult time. 🙏💔
