No rest for the cheerleaders (or coaches). Camp may be over, but the work for competition season is just getting started.

NCA Camp 2026 ✔️📣

What a weekend.

This team showed up, worked hard, stayed positive, supported one another, and left camp with more than a few accomplishments to celebrate:

⭐ Entire team nominated for All-American
⭐ 11 athletes tried out for All-American
⭐ 7 All-Americans selected
⭐ Spirit Stick winners every night
⭐ 1st Place Jam Routine
⭐ Herkie Team Award
⭐ Technical Excellence in Stunts & Dance
⭐ Superior Ribbons in Game Day and Jam Routine Evaluations
⭐ Credentialed to compete at Nationals
⭐️ALL 12 Seniors were “app’d” to tryout for NCA Staff

We also had several individual recognitions, including Chyanne Chatelain and Jaden Banks receiving Pin It Forward honors, Lainey Benson earning Top Gun Jump Winner, and Lainey Benson, Jaden Banks, Amaya Ashcraft, and Chyanne Chatelain earning Top Gun Stunt Winner recognition.

And let’s not forget The Miner Man, who earned Superior ribbons, was nominated for All-American Mascot, tried out, and was selected as an All-American Mascot! ⛏️

Most people see the two-and-a-half minutes on the competition floor. What they don’t see are the hours of training, conditioning, stunting, tumbling, learning routines, building trust, overcoming fears, and developing the teamwork it takes to perform at a high level. Cheerleading isn’t easy and these athletes make some very difficult skills look effortless.

So if you’ve ever wondered how cheer works, what competition cheer is all about, or why we love this sport so much, come ask questions, come watch, and come support these athletes. We think you’ll be pretty impressed by what they do every day.

We’re proud of this team, proud of the work they’ve put in, and excited for what’s ahead. The season is just getting started. 🖤🤍⛏️

Camp Day 3 ✔️📣

Another great day at camp!

Yesterday, our entire team was nominated for All-American tryouts, and today, 11 of our 19 athletes stepped out of their comfort zones, tried out, and absolutely crushed it! We are so proud of their courage, confidence, and hard work.

Our mascot, The Miner Man, has been making quite the name for himself at camp too! He’s already earned multiple ribbons, was nominated for All-American Mascot, and even tried out tonight. ⛏️🎉

And for anyone who doesn’t quite understand what all goes into cheerleading, competition cheer, or co-ed stunting, we’d LOVE for you to join us TOMORROW at 9:30 a.m. at the Bank OZK Convention Center. Consider it a tiny glimpse into the athleticism, skill, dedication, and teamwork these athletes put in every single day. 😉

We love this team, and while we’re sad camp comes to an end tomorrow, we’re incredibly excited about the potential of this group and what this season has in store.

Camp Day 2 ✔️📣

It’s been a long day, everyone is exhausted, and we still have a day and a half left to go…..BUT this team continues to dig deep and give their best. Through every class, routine, and challenge, they’ve stayed positive, encouraged one another, and most importantly, had fun along the way.

Today was another wonderful day of camp, made even sweeter when one of our seniors, Chyanne Chatelain, was “Pinned” by our NCA Buddy Instructor! 🤍

The Pin It Forward recognition is a special honor given by NCA staff to campers who stand out through their leadership, positive attitude, work ethic, kindness, passion, and spirit. These pins can be awarded at any time throughout camp to athletes who make a lasting impression on those around them.

Anyone who knows Chyanne knows how deserving she is of this recognition. She works hard, supports her teammates, and always brings a smile wherever she goes. We are so proud of her and all she represents for our program!

As we continue embracing this year’s theme, UNITE, we’re grateful for the memories being made, the lessons being learned, and the opportunity to grow together as a team.

Camp Day 1 ✔️📣

What a great first day of camp!

This team worked incredibly hard today, learning new material, sharpening their skills, and pushing themselves to be better with every session. Even more importantly, they encouraged one another, stayed positive, and truly embraced this year’s camp theme: UNITE.

We are so proud of the effort these athletes put in today and can’t wait to see how much they continue to learn and grow throughout the weekend.

The future is bright for Bauxite Cheer, and we can’t wait to show everyone what this team can do! 📣

Day 4 ✔️

That’s a wrap on our final practice before camp! 📣🎉

Tonight’s dress-up theme was Stunt Group Color Wars, and our athletes showed up ready to represent their groups with lots of color, energy, and team spirit! 🌈

This group has worked so hard all week long as we’ve kicked off our summer practices and prepared for camp. From silly dress-up days to focused practices, we’ve spent this week building skills, strengthening relationships, and embracing this year’s camp theme: UNITE.

I couldn’t be more proud of the effort, attitude, and commitment these athletes have shown. Now it’s time to pack our bags and head to Hot Springs! 📣

We’re excited to learn new skills, challenge ourselves, make memories, and continue growing together as a team this weekend. I can’t wait to see all that these athletes accomplish and how they continue to grow both as cheerleaders and as teammates.

NCA Camp 2026 ❤️🤍💙

What an incredible few days for BJH Cheer! We are wrapping up NCA Camp with hearts full of pride and so much to celebrate.

This team showed up, put in the work, and got better every single day. From pushing through stunts and increasing their skills to absolutely killing their band chant and Game Day Cheer, these athletes never stopped striving to improve. Their hard work paid off as they improved from an Excellent rating to a Superior rating in their final evaluation!

I couldn’t be prouder of this group of girls. The future is bright for BJH Cheer, and this is only the beginning.

Day 3 ✔️

Another great summer practice is in the books, and we’re officially down to ONE more practice before camp! 📣🎉

Today’s dress-up theme took us through the stages of life:

👶 Freshmen: Babies
😎 Sophomores: Teenagers
👨‍👩‍👧 Juniors: Parents
👵 Seniors: Grandparents

From pacifiers and baby dolls to walkers and grandma glasses, these athletes fully committed to the theme and gave us plenty of laughs today! 😂

While we’re having fun with dress-up days, we’re also putting in the work as we prepare for camp and continue embracing this year’s theme: UNITE. Every practice is an opportunity to grow closer, work harder, and become stronger together as a team.

One more day until we load up and head to Hot Springs! We can’t wait to see what this weekend has in store for us.

💕 NCA Camp Day 2 – Pretty in Pink! 💕

BJH CHEER ❤️🤍💙 had an outstanding day at camp today! These athletes continued to grow and improve in every area. We made great progress in our stunts, worked on an awesome pyramid and hit it several times, and put in the work on our band dance.

We also worked on situational chants and absolutely killed it! 📣

The team earned several red ribbons, had lots of All-American nominations, and continued to show what hard work, determination, and teamwork look like.

These kids are really showing up and showing out! Watching their confidence grow with each session has been so exciting. We are proud of the effort, attitude, and heart they bring every day.
