Don't judge the whole workout by the first few minutes!

Your body may simply need a little time to get moving—especially on cooler mornings.

👟 Start easier than you think you need to
🚶 Walk or jog gently for a few minutes
🔄 Let your legs loosen up naturally
🏃 Then gradually settle into your normal effort

Some days you'll feel great immediately.

Other days it might take a mile or more before everything starts clicking.

Give your body a chance to wake up before deciding how the day is going to go.

Start time officially moved to 4:30PM due to daylight savings time ending.

The BYA on the Parkway 5K & 10K is on Saturday November 7, 2026. It includes the following events: 5K, 10K, and Virtual Run/Walk.

Join the Saline County Striders for the 15th Annual Sunset 6/12/24 Hour Endurance Challenge, November 27–28 at Sunset Lake in Benton! Run or walk a flat, looped course, with aid-station support and friendly faces along the way. Whether you’re chasing a distance goal or trying something new, all paces are welcome! 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️
