Congratulations, Mercy Oloo 🤩

Mercy is an absolute joy! At first glance she’s quiet. After you spend time getting to know her you come to realize she is full of warm smiles and laughter. She works hard at her day job and enjoys coming to CrossFit to blow off the day and challenge herself by keeping active. She loves to travel and visit her family. No matter the workout, Mercy stays cool and calm. If you ask for her hype song for a WOD her answer is anything by Tems! We are so excited to have Mercy as part of our CFL community!

Coach Chan has been a valuable asset to our team for the past two years as both an L2 coach and nutritionist. She keeps the energy high and the weight on those barbells even higher. We are so excited to bring her on full time!

"CrossFit has had a meaningful impact on me, both through the structure it brings to my daily life and the mindset it’s helped me build. Having a consistent routine at CrossFit Liberate has given me a sense of discipline and stability that carries over into other areas of my life. It’s also pushed me to set clear goals and actually track my growth, whether that’s getting stronger, moving faster, or just showing up more consistently. The competitive side of CrossFit has been especially valuable because it’s rooted in a fun, supportive environment rather than pressure, which makes me want to improve without feeling overwhelmed. Most importantly, being part of CrossFit Liberate has given me a real sense of community. Being surrounded by like-minded people who are all working toward bettering themselves creates a strong, motivating atmosphere that makes the experience more than just a workout. I wouldn’t trade the experience CrossFit and Liberate has given me for anything in the world."

Did you know women will lose 8-10% of their muscle mass every decade after turning 30?
Think about that...by the time women turn 50, they could have lost 20% of their muscle mass as they potentially move into menopause (which has proven to reduce both muscle and bone density).

So what's the answer to this life-changing issue? Lift weights.
Not long distance running...over and over. Lifting...contracting your muscles 3-4 times per week, under load and fatigue. Lean muscle mass feeds your bone structure, and the earlier you start the better chance you have to fight off injury and disease.
