Time to kick off 2026-I’ll be at Greater Niagara Fishing Expo on February 19th to 22nd. Will be spending time in Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau Booth handing out 2026 Travel Guides or helping in Innovative Outdoors display. If you visit the show stop and say “hello”. Should be another great walleye year on Lake Erie-get your charter date set so you don’t miss the boat!

We’re ready to kick off 2026. There has been a lot of website traffic already. Just updated with 2026 Rates with updated trip options. Lake Erie was great in 2025 and expect more of same in 2026. Starting earlier on Erie this year and with that fishery doing so well less time on Chautauqua. Book direct by phone, email or website-ask for specials. We also work with Fishing Booker that is national booking sight which uses posted rates. That sight is great for out of town guests. Last year 85 percent or more clients booked direct. If you go direct, you talk directly with the Captain. Book early as with all the limit catches last year there is all lot of excitement for this year! Check out the website.

Oct 8&9 Chautauqua-Dennis and Dennis Jr from Ohio booked 2 day combo musky and walleye trips. Day 1 we trolled for musky most of the morning with no action. Switched to walleye vertical jigging late morning and grabbed 2 eyes. Day 2 we went right to the jigging raps. Guys ended up with 6 eyes plus a bonus crappie. They lost several other eyes as well. Chautauqua has been a tough walleye bite this year, so satisfying to put together a nice box for these guys.
Have done several 2 day combo trips this year. Still sometime for a fall jigging trip! Cooler weather and these fish will feed.

Sunday 9/28 Dunkirk for last 2025 Lake Erie charter. Had 83 year old Michael Noe from Buffalo and his 53 year old son Mark visiting from New England. Michael has balance issues and we had to get creative to get him on and off the boat. With the help of my dock mates Gary Katta Kongo Charters and John Forbes Times Two Charters , we had Michael sit on my wheeled fish cooler and wheeled Michael down the dock. Michael was fine on the boat and could sit and get his fish. The smiles say it all- boxed out and trip they’ll remember for years. I’ve used coolers for many things but never a people mover. For us Charter Boat Captains we enjoy getting people out to enjoy a day of fishing. Sometimes we need to get creative. Monday 9/29 Infinity came home to get ready for storage. It’s been an awesome season on Lake Erie. Hope to do it again in 2026!! There are still plenty of walleye out there.

Dunkirk-Sept 9th and 11th. The Lake Erie bite is still on out of Dunkirk. On the 9th a 3 man group from Pittsburgh got their walleye and some bonus Lake Trout trolling in. Weatherman missed on the winds Tuesday so no pics as I was busy keeping rods in the water.
On the 11th had another 3 man group from Ohio that got their walleye on a 4 hour trip with steady action out in deeper water with downriggers and divers. Both groups this week commented on how nice my boat was rigged and setup for this type of fishing. Especially impressed with the Suzuki 300 Dual prop and how it performs.
Have a few dates left in September before we close out Lake Erie 2025!

8/23 Dunkirk-Had family friends Ian, son Waylon and Janessa on Lake Erie for 1st time. Smiles say it all-enjoyed the boat (in less than perfect conditions) and rotated through to get their limit of walleyes and a couple of steelhead. Steady bite and remains hard to keep rods in the water. Eleven year old Waylon helped clean the catch with help from the Captain. Another great trip!!

August 15 and 16-Dunkirk. Took a break from running charters and teamed up with Mike Sperry Chautauqua Reel Outdoors and Capt Mark Lorenc to fish Innovative Outdoors Walleye Challenge. For Big Fish Friday about half the 43 boat field weighed fish and we were 9th for our best fish. Missed 8th by .01 lb showing how tight the weights are with the large numbers of cookie cutter walleye. For Saturdays main event we culled our 6 fish box up to a weight of 30.00lb with a 5lb average. We couldn’t get a larger kicker fish to push us up the leaderboard and finished 16th out of 43 teams. We had a fun time, caught a bunch of fish and enjoyed the competitive nature of tournament fishing. Now it’s back to Charters. Just have to say that Lake Erie has been nothing short of amazing this year!

August 7 Dunkirk-For me as a Charter Captain one of the greatest rewards is to see young people really enjoy the fishing experience. I had Nate Barron and his daughter Linnae out for walleye. I think the smiles say it all-they caught fish off downriggers, divers and leadcore. And to top it Linnae wanted to help clean their catch. So after a brief tutorial by the Captain, she did the cheeks and trimmed the fillets! They’ll
