There's a party at the Evergreen on Friday, May 15 7:30-10:00

A New Season starts at the Evergreen on Monday, May 18. Sign up for the whole season, and all the beginning Monday classes May 18-August 10 are just $60.

May 18 at the Evergreen:
6:30 Beginning Salsa and Bachata
7:45 Intermediate Cha Cha

Ashland classes are on break for the summer. But, I am available most Tuesday evenings for private lessons. Or, you can arrange a group and share the cost

The Evergreen Ballroom Showcase is tomorrow — Friday, April 24 from 7:30-10:30. Doors open at 7:00. There's a mini-lesson followed by demos and dancing until 9:30 and more open dancing after.
This is a ballroom-wide event, so please no punch cards. It's just $8 general; $6 for 13-18; 12 and under are free. (Cash or check only at the door.)

The Glass Slipper will not be at the Showcase, but she is coming down in two-weeks for SO Swing. If there's something you'd like to get in the van to try on, contact Shirley ASAP at the Glass Slipper 503-998- 9193.

7:40 Intermediate (bronze) Waltz

Tuesday, April 28 at the Grove:

The Evergreen Spring Showcase is on Friday, April 24. The Shoe lady is tentatively planning to come down.

Also, please check out the parking sign on our front door. We have some new neighbors in 6094 Suite D who are open until 8PM and don't want people parking in front of their building. You can parallel park right across from their front door along the curb.

Hello Dancers! My April calendar is up. A reminder that my only class this week will be the Wednesday 6:30 Waltz performance practice. But, there's lots to do the week after. And, if you want in on an easier performance number for the Showcase April 24, check out the NC 2-step practices on Saturdays, April 11&18. Let me know if you have questions!

There's a party tonight (Friday, March 6) at the Evergreen, starting at 7:30. And, new classes start next week. (See Schedule below).

Parking: Our new neighbors in Suite D (the building in front of the ballroom) are trying to keep space in front of their shop free until 8:00 PM. If you're arriving before then, please prioritize parking in our lot where the shed is. You can also parallel park along the curb of the south driveway, across from the front of 6086 and 6084.

New Sessions:
March 9 at the Evergreen:
6:30 Beginning Swing
7:45 Intermediate Night Club Two-Step*
*Some steps from this class will be used for a showcase routine April 24

March 10 at the Grove:
6:40 Beginning Waltz
7:45 Beginning Tango Week 3 - make-up class

We have a formal ball coming up on Saturday, February 14 at the Evergreen. The Dance Lover's Ball is a dress up event — black tie optional or 20's-era attire encouraged. We'll be dressing up the ballroom and offering some delectable treats. Doors open at 7:10. Dance 7:30-10:00 with DJ John. Couples and singles are welcome. Cost is $15/person at the door or from me in advance (all ages).

Youth Dance Competition Finals:
The exhibition round of the youth dance competition will be held on Saturday, February 21 at the Evergreen. This will likely be a sell-out event, so you'll want to get a ticket ahead of time. Competitors have first dibs on sharing tickets with their friends and family. Any leftover tickets will be available after Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14. Let me know if you'd like to be on the list to receive one. I'll get back to you on Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 youth. Lap children are free.

Showcase Friday, new sessions starting and a Dance Lover's Ball...

The Evergreen Ballroom Showcase is this Friday, January 23. Doors open at 7:00. The fun starts at 7:30 with mini lessons, exhibitions and open dancing until 9:00 with open dancing after. This is a ballroom-wide event that only happens twice a year. ($8 general; $6 teens; 12 and under free with adult — Cash or check only to the Evergreen Ballroom please.)

Monday, January 26 at the Evergreen
6:30 Beginning Foxtrot
7:45 Intermediate Bachata and Salsa

Tuesday, January 27 at the Grove
6:40 Beginning Salsa/Bachata
