Race pics are finally up. Sorry, summer has taken over and I haven't had much time to sit down in front of the computer until now.

Go to the webpage for the links to the three albums. Thank you Sean, Geoff, and Grant for taking these pics!

Putting this race on takes a lot of work and coordination, but is always a highlight for me.

Seeing hundreds of you come out to celebrate our trails, the nonprofit organizations, and the community is why we put in the work.

The energy on the mountain was unmatched this weekend. Thank you all for showing up, giving it your all, and making this community so vibrant.

To the volunteers, sponsors, hikers, runners, and bikers - thank you for bringing the magic to Mt Ashland once again. 🙏

We've got a band! And they will be running up to their performance!

Not only are Aaron & Phil Reed amazing musicians, they're seasoned trail runners who crush the local races and have participated in the hill climb on numerous occasions. The Brothers Reed are essentially the soundtrack for the local outdoor community. They'll start their set after the award ceremony, scheduled for 11 am.

⚠Remember... we're going cupless this year. Bring your favorite handheld water bottle or hydration pack. Aid station volunteers love the SpeedFill Caps by Hydrapak... just FYI.

🚌We've got a bus!
We're gonna try this again. 3 years ago we got one and only a handful of racers took it back down. But with more than 4x the racers, we want to provide a way to get you back down to the start at no charge. The bus will depart at noon from the Mt A parking lot.

There will also be an AMA shuttle at 12:45 pm ($10/person)

Taikoroll.... the hill climb is sold out!

If you are dying to get in, get your name on the waitlist ASAP. If you are signed up and can't make it, please contact me so we can open up spots for folks on the waitlist. I can't get you a refund, but I'd be happy to roll your registration over to next year.

We're gonna have a great local turnout of all ages (ranging from ages 9-84!) - with 200 runners, 60 bikers, and 140 hikers.

Can't wait to see how the day unfolds. 👏

One mile of vertical. One great cause. 🚵‍♂️⛰️
The Mt. Ashland Hill Climb isn’t just a legendary test of grit for runners—it’s the ultimate lung-buster for cyclists, too. We’re talking 20+ miles of climbing, starting in the heart of Lithia Park and finishing at the 7,500' summit.
But this race is about more than just pedaling to the "soccer ball" at the top. Every pedal stroke helps fuel the future of our local trails and the next generation of riders. All proceeds go directly to supporting:
🛠️ RVMBA (): Keeping the Rogue Valley a world-class riding destination by building, maintaining, and advocating for the trails we all love.
🚲 Ashland DEVO ( ): Empowering local youth through mountain biking. From building resilience on the climbs to logging hundreds of volunteer hours maintaining our trail systems, these kids are the heart of our community.
Whether you're racing for a PR or just to support the dirt, your registration makes a difference.

Bikers will be fine with their water bottles/camel backs, but remember this year’s race will be cupless. We will have reusable race cups at registration if you aren’t planning on carrying a bottle.

Tell your friends, we’ve only got 100 spots left!

🌲 WHO BUILDS THE TRAILS YOU LOVE? 🛠️
If you’ve ever enjoyed a morning run on Wonder or a hike up Bandersnatch, you’ve experienced the hard work of the Ashland Woodlands & Trails Association (AWTA).

AWTA is the backbone of this beautiful trail system, and this event, the Mt. Ashland Hill Climb is the biggest fundraiser for this incredible non-profit!

AWTA is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 dedicated to:
- Preservation: Protecting the natural beauty of the Ashland Watershed.
- Maintenance: Clearing downed trees, managing drainage, and keeping trails safe year-round.
- Access: Ensuring our "small-town" trail system remains one of the best in the nation.

When you sign up for the Hill Climb, you aren't just paying for a race bib—you are paying for the future of our trails. 100% of the runner and hiker proceeds go directly to AWTA.

By joining us on June 7th, you’re helping fund the tools and the volunteer hours that keep our backyard world-class. You can let that "feel good" sentiment carry you through when you're halfway up the mountain pondering… “Wait, why did I sign up for this?!” 🏔️😅

📈 WE’RE CLIMBING FAST! 🏔️
We already have 160+ participants signed up for the 2026 Mt. Ashland Hill Climb.
We increased our capacity to 400 spots this year (up from 350 last year), but at this rate, we’re on track to sell-out. Don't wait until it's too late!

🗓️ Key Dates to Know:
May 7th: Prices go up! 💸
Race Day: June 7th.

🚲 Calling All Cyclists!
I’d love to see a larger turnout for the bike category this year. We’re watching the numbers closely—if we see significant growth, we’re looking into bringing back the classic Road vs. Mountain hill climb format we all used to love! Let’s show the demand is there. 🤘

With such a mild winter, there are no excuses—you should all be in race-ready condition! 😉

We are going CUPLESS this year!

We got reusable TPU cups so you can carry your own hill climb cups (or your own water bottle) to the aid stations. They’re light weight, collapsible, BPA free, and easy to carry.

We are hoping to cut down on the amount of trash accumulated at the aid stations. This has been the biggest complaint I’ve received from our amazing aid station volunteers.

Speaking of… if you want to be a part of this amazing event, but can’t race, you can always be a volunteer! Come work an aid station, help at the finish, or a whole host of other tasks. Feel free to DM me if you are interested or have any questions.
