⚡️THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 RACE SEASON! 😭

For our LAST race weekend of the year, we headed back to Cedar Lake Arena Kart Racing for the third time this season! 🙌 And if you know Landon, you know this is still his FAVORITE track, so there was no better place to close out the year!

And yes… we occasionally skip school for racing 😆 Priorities, right?! 🏎️💨

Let’s break down our final weekend of 2026!

FRIDAY | 13 KARTS

JR1 HEAVY Qualified P8
15 laps: Started P8, got shuffled back to nearly last, and fought his way up to P5! 👏 Unfortunately, a bad wreck happened behind him, and when the lights turned red, he wasn’t paying attention and thought it was just a normal caution. 😬 Cue the “WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?!” 🤦‍♀️ that resulted in a DNF — black flag.
Not the ending we wanted and tears were shed, but it was definitely a lesson learned to pay better attention. Sometimes those lessons come the hard way.
All that really matters is that our buddy, E is okay!

JR1 PRO Qualified P5
20 laps: P5 ➡️ P4️⃣! 💪

SATURDAY | 12 KARTS

JR1 HEAVY Qualified P6
20 laps: Started P6 and worked his way up to P3! He came SO close to making a move for P2, got passed on the final lap, then crossed her over and took back P3️⃣ right back at the line! 👏🔥🥉

JR1 PRO Qualified P3️⃣ 🙌
30 laps: Dad goes to start the kart and pulls the recoil RIGHT OUT! 😳😳 Thankfully, it was started, but we spent the entire race holding our breath, praying the kart wouldn’t die and we wouldn’t see any red flags.

And what a race it was! Landon battled his way up to P2, fell back to P5, then fought his way back to P3 and was knocking on P2’s bumper again. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t enough time to make another move, and he brought home P3️⃣! 🥉

After it was all said and done, this kid was EXHAUSTED!❤️ He left absolutely everything out on that track this weekend and raced his heart out, and we could not be more proud of him.

🏁 ROAD AMERICA — LAST RACE OF THE SEASON 🏁

We didn’t plan on being here, we dont race for points on Saturdays, but Dad added more oil to the kart, so naturally… we HAD to run one more race! 😆😂

Normally, we’d be STOKED about a top 4 finish at this track and in this class. But yesterday, there were only FOUR of us! 🤣 So the goal was simple: DON’T FINISH 4TH. 🫣

Easier said than done! These kids were FAST, and just like it’s been all season at the big track, we’re just not quite fast ENOUGH. Dad spent the day chasing gearing, adjusting the brake, and even making camber and toe changes, trying to find a little more speed. 💪🏼

🏁 HEAT 1: P3 ➡️ P4
🏁 HEAT 2: P2 ➡️ P3
🏁 FEATURE: Somehow, Landon pulled off a KILLER start and led the first FOUR laps! ⚡️ It was nose-to-tail racing, and eventually, the train made its move. With the karts coming fast and not much room to work with, Landon found himself in the dirt (the running joke at the track, he’s used to dirt anyway 🤪), clipped a cone, but made a great recovery!
In the end, a little luck landed on our side, and he brought home a P3 FINISH! 🥉 P3 ➡️ P3!
Some tears were shed post race, but we’ll take it! 🙌🏼

We had a blast hanging out with friends and wrapping up the season at the track.

A huge thank-you to everyone who has cheered Landon on, helped us out, and been part of this wild racing journey. We’re grateful for every lap, every lesson, and every memory made this season!

🏆⚡️ IT’S OFFICIAL… LANDON IS THE LITTLE BUCKAROO JR2 CHAMPION! ⚡️🏆

Wow. What a season! 🧡

When we made the decision to bump Landon up to JR2 as early as we could, we knew he’d be in for a challenge. At just 9 years old, he was the youngest kid on the track, and we came into the season with pretty low expectations. Our mindset was simple: take it as it comes, learn as much as we can, and maybe we won’t even race every week.

But in typical Landon fashion… he had other plans. 🏁

He showed up with zero fear, a whole lot of determination, and the heart of a racer. Week after week, he pushed himself, learned, grew, and continued to surpass every expectation we had. Watching him take on this class, battle with these kids, and give it everything he had all season has been something special.

We know a championship takes more than just a driver. It takes a whole lot of work behind the scenes, long days at the track, late nights in the shop, and a village of people cheering you on. We’re so grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey.
