VolleySeeds 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ season
You were so good and challenging this winter season for my own growth to keep this program relevant, fun, and help athletes learn the BEST sport.
🥲 I have so many athletes this year “graduating” from the program. They have been in it since they were 5 years old, and are ready to do the team things 💛
To see them grow up [be strong athletes + love for the game] in the sport, have their volleyball friends, and want to continue playing. That’s the best outcome of ANY athletic program.
We’re in a time where female youth athletes are leaving team sports rapidly due to multiple factors. But I find the common denominator is an adult or an adult choice, in some way, their exit is attached to adults. That could be poor financials/funding by adults in sports management roles. Coaches, have poor connections with their athletes or little to no program development with their teams. In combo with other factors such as Mental wellness and social pressure/stigma, and the underrepresented roles of leaders, decision makers, etc. female athletes have a hard time staying in sports past 14 years old, and than 17/18 years old our research says.
And this is a broad, perspective of mine. One that I’ve been working on and being solution-focused since I was a youth athlete. This perspective helps shape my programs and what I put out into the Volleyball world. So that being said, I am so happy and grateful to be the VolleySeeds Coach of Wisconsin.
I want to be your athlete's first coach in volleyball. So they learn the BEST SPORT in a fun, safe, and person-centered environment.
If you're all about growth, volleyball, and letting kids just play, learn, and train. You're in the right space ☺️ 🤗
