It’s time to announce the first of our TEN performing artists at the annual conference Mini-Dance Festival! We are thrilled to have Andi Bissen join us for this year’s performance and what a special one it is! Meet Andi…
Andi Bissen holds a BFA in Dance and Creative Writing from UW-Milwaukee and an MFA in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She is the Artistic Director of the competitive team at Elevate Dance and a tap dance program director at Dance Academy of Libertyville. She was a company member of JorsTAP Chicago, the only all-female tap dance performance company in the city. She has traveled the country as a dance judge and guest choreographer, is an award-winning performer and choreographer, and has trained with some of the most influential tap dancers in the world. She started dancing at age five, competitively at age seven, and started teaching dance at age fourteen. Dance has been her whole life—her greatest passion and her career. She’s also a self-published author, a proud big sister, and an avid daydreamer. Instagram:
