Mason is in Lil Ninjas! He was nominated by Coach Noah & Coach Katy because he is a GREAT listener! Mason has been working really hard on forward and backward rolls! He is so great to have in class! Keep up the awesome work, Mason!🤩

Congrats to our Athlete of the Week, Gavyn!💗🤸‍♀️

Gavyn is in Hot Shots! She was nominated by Coach Alex & Coach Lila because she works so hard every practice! Her skills have improved SO much! Every time we give Gavyn a correction, she fixes it right away! We are so proud of Gavyn!🤩

Gavyn’s favorite event is bars, and her gymnastics goal is to get her back hip circle!💪

Congratulations and big shout out to our level 6 gymnast Madison Star!

What problem can we solve? That question sparked incredible creativity for Ames Middle School students competing in the 2026 Iowa Invention Convention State Finals!

From stress-relief tools and running analysis apps to attachable clothing pockets and a better recovery cone for pets, AMS students turned real-world problems into innovative solutions. One Ames student team will even represent Iowa at the RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals this summer!

We are proud of these students for their creativity, perseverance, collaboration, and problem-solving skills — and grateful to teacher Carisa Danielson for helping guide their ideas from concept to competition.
