Alrighty, , here’s my submission for a Community Cup workout. We tested it this morning, and it was 🤌😙. Classic triplet with descending reps/ascending weights. Monostructural, gymnastics, weightlifting. Class friendly, using 45s and 25s for guys, and 35s and 15s for the gals, so you don’t run out of plates. It takes up some space, but should be doable in most affiliates. Give this one a try!

You’ll notice something different when you walk into our gym this week.

We didn’t hide the word. We didn’t make it smaller. We didn’t replace it with trendy buzzwords or fitness jargon.

We painted CROSSFIT in huge letters across the biggest wall in the building.

Because we’re proud of it.

In an industry where some gyms have moved away from the name because it sounds intimidating, we’ve chosen to lean into it. The truth is, CrossFit is intimidating—at least at first. So is walking through the door. So is trying something new. So is challenging yourself to become stronger than you were yesterday.

And that’s exactly why it works.

CrossFit isn’t just a workout program. It’s a methodology built on constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. It’s measurable progress. It’s accountability. It’s community. It’s learning that you’re capable of more than you thought possible.

These days, it’s common to see gyms collecting additional (or replacement) labels and affiliations—HYROX, DEKA, Mayhem, MetFix, and countless others. There’s nothing wrong with any of those. But our identity is simple.

We’re CrossFit.

Not CrossFit plus five other things.

Not CrossFit with the name removed.

Just CrossFit.

Many gyms use the methodology every day but choose not to call it CrossFit. Others once carried the affiliation and no longer do. That’s their decision.

We’ve chosen a different path.

We proudly maintain our affiliation because we believe in the methodology, respect what it has built, and want to be connected to the worldwide community that continues to change lives every day.

We pay our dues.

More importantly, we pay our respect.

The name on the wall isn’t there for decoration.

It’s there because we believe in what it stands for.

Awesome finish to a hard but great week here at CrossFit Pegasus. CAP (and .com) had all hero WODs this week, of course starting with Murph on Monday. Saturday finished us out with a great partner workout- “Laura”.
AMRAP 21 with a partner:

10 power cleans (105/155 lb)

Murph is difficult by design.

Not just physically — but emotionally.

Every Memorial Day, thousands of people around the world step into CrossFit affiliates to take on the same workout for the same reason: to remember.

To honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to their country.

And to honor the life of Lt. Michael Murphy.

Murph has become one of the most recognized workouts in CrossFit, but it was never meant to be about fitness alone.

It’s about sacrifice.
Perspective.
Community.

For the CrossFit community, Murph has become a moment to pause and remember what Memorial Day represents.

That’s why affiliates gather.
Why people wear a weighted vest.
Why communities stay long after the final run is over.

Because Murph asks something deeper than physical effort.

It asks people to carry meaning through movement.

And almost everyone remembers their first Murph — not because of their score or time, but because of who they did it with.

That’s what has made Murph part of CrossFit for over two decades.

Not performance.
Remembrance.

Murph continues to support the mission of the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation, helping honor Murphy’s legacy through education and leadership.

All proceeds from the Official Murph Challenge support the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Saturday morning crew! We took on the classic Girl workout “Cindy” today. Always a favorite of mine! As with all our workouts, this one is great for pushing you, no matter what your limitations are. Every movement is scalable, but just because you aren’t doing the exact prescribed movement doesn’t mean you won’t get the same awesome stimulus of the workout. “The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind” - Greg Glassman
