— Junior Bounous, 101 years old  
 
Junior Bounous is a living legend whose career and passion forever shaped the world of skiing. Junior turns 101 years young today and we are delighted to send our birthday salutations. Junior could be found energetically stacking laps at Alta this April as a spry one-hundred-year-old.

Inspiring skiers young and old with his joie de vivre, wit and humor, Junior was instrumental in helping Alf Engen and others develop the modern powder skiing techniques we all utilize today. We wish Junior an incredible 101st birthday and send gratitude for his infectious love of skiing and his numerous contributions to Alta and beyond.

There are only three more weekends to visit the Alta Camp Store at the Cecret Lake trailhead.

Open 11am–5:30pm on weekends through Labor Day, the Alta Store is the perfect spot for post-hike treats, cold drinks and grabbing some Alta gear. Come say hello and enjoy the Alta Store’s offerings:
