Almont senior Matthew Bacholzky was named a National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) First-Team Academic All-American for the 2025-2026 academic year. Seniors Benjamin Nickrand, Rachael Johnson, and Lola Battaglia, along with junior Brody Corneau, were named Second-Team Academic All-Americans. Senior Dustin Claeys was named as an Honorable Mention Academic All-American.
Bacholzky earned a cumulative GPA of 4.3819 in addition to being a First-Team All-State selection in football and a BWAC Basketball All-Defense selection. Matthew is the valedictorian of the AHS Class of 2026 and is the son of Jeff and Heidi Bacholzky.
Nickrand earned a cumulative GPA of 4.1465 in addition to being a First-Team All-Region selection in football. Ben is the son of Joe and Jenny Nickrand.
Johnson earned a cumulative GPA of 4.0765 in addition to being a Detroit Free Press Honorable Mention All-State selection in basketball. She is the daughter of Erik and Jennifer Johnson.
Battaglia earned a cumulative GPA of 3.6812 in addition to being a First-Team All-State selection in soccer. Lola holds school records for most goals scored in a season and most goals scored in a career. She is the daughter of Kelly and Megan Battaglia.
Corneau has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.6893 in addition to being a First-Team All-State selection in football. Brody is the son of Matt and Cory Corneau.
Claeys earned a cumulative GPA of 3.9102 in addition to being a First-Team All-Region selection in football. Dustin is the son of Jeff and Justina Claeys.
