A huge thank you to all the shooters that joined us for our annual Bob Hudek Memorial Shoot at High Lakes on Sunday August 9th‼ Once again our trapshooting community has outdone themselves! Dove season is coming soon!
Come on out to High Lakes Outdoor Alliance Shooting Range for the “Dove Opener” s***t and 5 stand shoot Wednesday August 26, 2026.
This is a fun event. Not really a competition. Just a chance to knock the rust off before opening day.
You can shoot s***t, or 5 stand, or both. We’ll have the 5 stand course setup and ready to go by 5:30 and we’ll shoot as long as you want!
Stick around after you’re done. We’ll have the grill fired up by 7:00.
Youngsters are welcome.

High Lakes TI0 Shoot Out

Grab two teammates and join us for a fun-filled day of competition at the High Lakes Shooting Range in Creston, Iowa! The High Lakes TI0 Shoot Out is a three-person team event designed to challenge shooters across multiple disciplines while supporting the mission of High Lakes Outdoor Alliance and True Impact Outdoors.

Teams will rotate through shooting stations, including trap, s***t, pistol, .22 rifle, and centerfire rifle, testing speed, accuracy, teamwork, and versatility. Whether you're an experienced shooter or simply looking for a great day with friends and family, this event is designed to be competitive, welcoming, and enjoyable for shooters of all skill levels.

At True Impact Outdoors (TIO), we love all things outdoors. With a deep appreciation for our nation's heroes, we are committed to giving back to those who have dedicated themselves to serving and protecting our communities and our country. Our mission is to provide military and first responder veterans with opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, offering a break from the challenges of everyday life through recreation, camaraderie, and meaningful experiences.

A limited number of fi****ms will be available for participants to use, or competitors are welcome to bring their own. Lunch is included with registration, and awards will be presented following the competition.

Entry Fee: $300 per team (lunch included)

Your support helps High Lakes Outdoor Alliance continue expanding shooting sports and outdoor recreation opportunities while enabling True Impact Outdoors to provide meaningful outdoor experiences for military and first responder veterans.

Thank you to all the shooters who came out and braved the extreme heat to compete in the 2026 Ron Gordon Derby Shoot at High Lakes Gun Club. It was definitely a battle not only of skill, but sheer will power. 🥵🔥💪 Congratulations to our Champs, Runners-up, and everyone able to stay hydrated and upright! Thanks to all our volunteers, youth shooting sports helpers, and coaches. Special Thanks to Ron Gordon for his generous donation making for a great shoot.
