The Bar Muscle-up is a really good skill to aim for as a Calisthenics practitioner because it involves Pulling + Pushing Strength AND technique + power
It really develops a good set of Fitness for the upper body and a good test if your foundations is solid 👌🏼
I would advise developing your basic Pull-ups, Dips, Rows and Push-ups with full range of motion and a stable torso before starting to work on this skill for faster progress
Then comes the specific skill/technique part where we use a swinging motion, a snapping pull-up and a quick shift of weight around and over the bar and the rest is just a regular Dip.
If you’re stuck in the transition no matter what you do, perhaps I can offer some modifications and advice on what you need to work on. Save yourself the wasted effort and frustration from working so hard but not seeing results.
