🏓 SELKIRK BOOMSTIK PADDLE REVIEW | COACH LEX – THE D**K DOCTOR
As a Selkirk Advocate, I got my Selkirk Boomstik prior to the release date last Aug 2025, and this paddle definitely lives up to its name. 💥
🔥 FIRST IMPRESSION
The Boomstik is built for players who want power without completely giving up control. The feel is solid, stable, and very confident when attacking from the baseline or speeding up at the kitchen.
💥 POWER
This is where the Boomstik really shines.
You don’t have to over-swing to generate pace. A compact swing can already produce a heavy ball.
🎯 CONTROL
Despite being a power-oriented paddle, I was impressed with the amount of control it still offers.
For my game, I still prefer a more control-oriented paddle when playing a soft-game heavy match.
🌀 SPIN
The Boomstik produces excellent spin.
Topspin drives, roll volleys, and aggressive d**ks all have good bite. You can really feel the ball grabbing the surface when accelerating through the shot.
🏓 KITCHEN GAME
At the kitchen, the Boomstik feels stable and responsive.
The biggest adjustment is learning to control the extra power during hands battles and speed-ups. Once you get comfortable with the paddle, it becomes a dangerous weapon.
⚡ STABILITY & SWEET SPOT
One thing I really liked is the solid feel on contact.
Even when you don’t hit the exact center of the paddle, the Boomstik doesn’t feel unstable. That confidence is important during fast exchanges.

I would recommend the Boomstik for:
✅ Intermediate to advanced players
✅ Players who love aggressive drives
✅ Bangers and attackers
✅ Players who want easy power
✅ Players who want strong spin with their power
✅ Players who like a solid, stable paddle
If you’re a beginner or a player who relies heavily on resets, drops and soft-game control, you may need some adjustment time.

The Selkirk Boomstik is not trying to be a finesse-first paddle. It’s a paddle designed to help you attack, pressure and dictate the point.
If your game is built around aggressive drives, speed-ups and putting your opponents under pressure, the Boomstik deserves a serious look.
